The Romney/Ryan ticket is entirely dependent on the ignorance and stupidity of the electorate. This is the only part of their campaign they have right.

But in order to get the real refs back, the "Job Creators" have to give up 0.05% of their NFL profits, which means they won't be able to create jobs!

Packers, come see me at the end of the season, when you miss the playoffs because of this one game.

9 sacks of Rodgers but they only lost because of an allegedly bad call just like the bad calls we have seen out of the refs in the past.

I was watching Survivorman: Ten Days last night, and you know what it reminds me of -- President Obama and the economy. Obama would take money from hard-working Americans and give it to lazy freeloaders, but Mitt and I want every American to have the chance to forage in the snow-driven wild for some deer meat that a charitable hunter (probably a REAL Christian *wink*) left behind. Or berries. Or nothing, further reducing our need for welfare.

2012-09-26 01:39:18 PM
So let's imagine this, Paul. Let's imagine that there was a small group of people who were planning on rigging the odds of NFL games, to destroy the game's credibility. And that there were repeated warnings about it. And let's assume that, rather than go after this group, the NFL commissioner filed a billion dollar law suit against, oh I don't know, the NBA, or the Girl Scouts Association, or the Ladies Auxiliary of the Methodist Church in Ames, Iowa. It doesn't matter, so long as you understand that the lawsuit was filed against an organization that was not in any way a threat to the NFL.

Also, teams were allowed to make ridiculously crazy speculative investments on the prospective NFL talents of 8-year-olds, and so suddenly almost every team was on the verge of bankruptcy. (The success of the rigged-betting cabal didn't exactly help.)

And the NFL commissioner declared that this was all the fault of Jackie Robinson, who had set up a system that led inevitably to teams giving money to black players that they didn't deserve. And that anyone who questioned any of his decisions, or motives, hated football, hated the NFL.

And to this day, the commissioner insists that the NBA/Girl Scouts Association/Ladies Auxiliary was the real threat.

Now we have a working historic parallel.

I'm a Packers fan - The one bad call did not lose that game. The Packer's Offensive Line not showing up the first half lost that game. The replacement refs need to go, yes, but as far as I'm concerned the Packers should have had at least 20 points on the Seahawks by the time that call was made.

Agreed. I would put the following as Obama's failings:

1) Failure to convict and imprison all those involved in pushing for the fake Iraq War and related war crimes
2) Failure to disassemble NDAA and most parts of the PATRIOT Act
3) Failure to stand firm on single payer or universal health care (this one was hard, admittedly)
4) Failure to properly punish BP for gulf oil spill
5) Failure to go after the Banksters on Wall Street. I believe the window of opportunity has closed by now

All these failures are due to Obama leaning to far to the right, appeasing the GOPs who he should have bi*chslapped and c*ckpunched.

Seriously, every time a Barton or a Walsh or an Allen West make some ridiculous remarks, Obama should have physically beat the living tar out of guys. Do it five or six times, maybe they'll learn their place.

Using the term "Bankstes" disqualifies you from having an opinion, no matter how hilariously you deploy hyperbole.

Nurglitch: dericwater: Blathering Idjut: Yellow Beard: If there's one thing I learned these past 3 and a half years, it's that absolutely nothing bad is Pres. Obama's fault.

Oh, that's not exactly true. He continues to treat republicans like adults despite all evidence to the contrary. That's pretty bad.

Summoner101: HotWingConspiracy: rudemix: "You guys watch that Packer game last night? I mean, give me a break," Ryan said

They showed this on the local news last night. A small clip with this part. I don't recall if I ever heard a more forced and mechanical sounding attempt at being spontaneous and part of the gang. He sounded like a really shiatty comedian trying to sound like he's relatable and in on the joke, not the joke itself.

Better him than Romney.

Hey, Romney can relate! Some of his best friends own sports teams!

He actually said that yesterday, that he was friends with the owners of the Dolphins and the Jets

I think the real problem is that you do understand them.

Grimlock2099: heavymetal: If MD Jennings would have batted the ball down like you are supposed to when defending a Hail Mary pass rather than try to pad his stats with an interception, the blown call would be a non-issue,

I'm a Packers fan - The one bad call did not lose that game. The Packer's Offensive Line not showing up the first half lost that game. The replacement refs need to go, yes, but as far as I'm concerned the Packers should have had at least 20 points on the Seahawks by the time that call was made.

Actually what I should have said is that "The Seahawks played a better game and deserved the win"

That's true. I don't think they allow Wisconsin residents to be anything but Packer fans.

There are plenty of Viking fans in the West and plenty of Bear fans through most of the state. Then you get the weirdos like me who, in spite of growing up in prime Packer country, root for the Raiders.

azazyel: Is that show based off of the Novels of the Change series (Dies the Fire)? Or is it just the same idea, different take?

No, it's more of an attempt to cash in on Hunger Games. It's not bad, though it's a bit hokey at times.

Antimatter: So the people and actions that could correct the economy are being locked out by greedy rich men? Yeah, that does remind me of Obama versus the GOP.
