Weird how some lines are instantly memorable. I think I saw that movie once as a 13 year old, never seen it since, and immediately I knew what the reference was.

This is a cool EQ map - Living in a fault zone surrounded by dormant volcanoes I don't get a kick out of this.

Good on all of the above for remembering that, I sure didn't.

Here's the quote:

On the other hand, it seems like a silly reference to think there are no earthquakes in Baja California, that is, near the Sea of Cortez, that is, where the East Pacific Rise spreading as the Pacific plate slides past the North American Plate.

Well, one of these days Seattle will finally get some authentic Baja tacos.

Maybe it's ransom. Back in Baja, we kidnap you, put you in a subduction fault. The ransom's not paid, we set off an earthquake.

It would be interesting if a quake in the Gulf of California caused a tsunami. The shape of the Gulf would focus it like the barrel of a gun.

lol me too. I hope you realize you can google/bing Lana Wood Playboy and see all of Plenty, or most of her anyway. It was 1969 and you didn't get to see it all. I didn't know until looking up her pics again that she is Natalie Woods sister. Image search with Bing was instantly NSFW.

What's annoying is that it's probably safe to assume that 1969 Sean Connery banged every chick that got within 300 yards of him.

I was in Cabo on vacation last month and it rained for 3 1/2 of the 7 days we were there. Now this.
Might have to rethink our vacation destination...

Do Mexicans speak trapeze? I would perform the mouldy exodus for the nascent obliteration of the Mayan necropolis into the Humbert zone - translated: kill Florida and its old people. Die.

Not so much annoying as enviable.

All those same chicks from the 1960 James Bond movies? I bet I could lay some of them now.

Okay, probably not.
