It would be nice if the people asking the questions just called out the candidates on their bullshiat......journalism is dead.

This should be interesting...four different fact-checking groups pooling their resources. Can't wait to see how many times people say "fact-checking doesn't matter" only to seize on something a fact-checker brings up to smear a candidate.

Don't hat the players, hate the game. The for-profit news industry killed journalism.

...or as we like to call it, the Presidential Debate Drinking Game.

/shame they're not releasing their pre-checks
//a game-show buzzer could sound whenever a candidate coughs up a well-tested untruth
///or we could, y'know, drink

Wait - they are releasing them in advance!

"We're not going let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers."- Neil Newhouse, Republican pollster for Romney's campaign,

We don't need no stinkin' facts. Substitute the truth with your own reality- yay.

Remember when we didn't have fact checking groups? We just had journalists and news organizations. What the fark happened to them?

What a terrible idea.

Reaction is a fundamental characteristic of the work they do. They analyze and quantify stories to bring some kind of accountability that might, over time, lead to more truthfulness. Now they want to get out in front of the story and make their own news by having some sort of joint event. They want to influence what people think before candidates even speak and/or influence what the candidates say in the debate. That's way, way, way outside their jurisdiction.

They must be feeling the heat of irrelevancy to pull a stunt like this.

Americans decided they couldn't handle the truth, and would rather be told what they like to hear.

Do I really? What is it that I wrote that sounds republican? Did you actually read the bit in the middle where all the words are?
