Stephen Strange was an actual physician, you know. He may be of more help. Also Doom is smarter than Richards. He's proven it time and again.

Strange was a surgeon with a massive ego.

No, you want Doctor Donald Blake, a nice, crippled man with a god complex.

"Nobody ever said wanting to rule the world makes you evil." ~ Stan Lee on Dr. Victor Von Doom. Lee has said that he always made it clear that Doom wasn't evil. Ambitious, certainly, and maybe corrupted to a point he would never admit his own arrogance... but not evil.
/The "Crying Doom" fiasco in the 9/11 comic was given the go-ahead by Lee himself. "There are demons, monsters and terrors in comic books, Doom is the one guy that every hero looks to when everything else has failed. He's the lone man who can save a crisis by himself - but his ego and his own sense of inferiority stop him unless his country, or his ass, is on the line. He's the greatest hero and villain I've ever created."

///More to the point: Doom is the greatest character in comics, EVER. He faces Superman with kryptonite infused into his armor. Thor? The ruby of Cyttorak. Doom ALWAYS wins. Even his Pyrrhic victories are total ones compared to the heroes he's faced off against.

Yeah but give Doom a chance to kill his creator and he's gonna run with it.

Doom spents years and years, went to hell and back again to save his mother. No reason he shouldn't like Stan Gloryhound Lee.

Strange and Blake have both been pointed out

Dr Richard's wouldn't be helpful but his father in law Dr Storm would be helpful

Though Dr Richards did consult on Captain Marvel's cancer

I think Stan Lee has earned the right to be a self absorbed blowhard, even if everything he's tried in the last 10 years has completely sucked. If it wasn't for him, there would still be multiple monthly comic books featuring imaginary stories of Lois Lane marrying every character in the universe.

Yeah, I know Lee was Marvel Comics, not DC, but he pulled their asses out of the creative doldrums as well.

I love how they used that phrase "very serious circumstance" about his health, and then downplay it like it didn't mean shiat...

When Pym isn't beating his wife, he's an even better and smarter scientist than Reed Richards. Of course, Reed Richards is useless.

He, through being a blowhard, became the public face of comics. And some of his statements are great: "Write well. Remember, every character is SOMEBODY'S favorite." That admonition has given us great mileage out of characters that everyone would write off as crap. Except Big Wheel, Stilt Man, and the Hypno Hustler. He's such an evangelist for comics it's hard for me not to give him a pass. He may give himself credit for everything through the magic of fuzzy memories, but he did change things, especially to give a human element to superheroes. "Heroes with problems." Not the golden era of Superman perfection, nor the Dork Age of grim-dark anti-heroes, but heroes people could relate to.

Also: I like hearing him say "Doc Ock."

Batman knows a little about doctorin' too so that automatically makes him better at it than Dr. Doom or Richards or Who or any other doctor. Plus he's a detective like Dr. house only a million times better so he could figure out what's wrong with stan and fix it, he would have the cure in his utility belt because he's always prepared.

He could also take Godzilla in a bare-knuckles fist fight, he wouldn't even need his utility belt.
