WhyteRaven74: I wondering, how hard would it have been to get at least Div II refs? There are Div II schools within short distances of every NFL city, so not like the refs couldn't get from their Saturday games to Sunday games easy enough.

They should have called

Gunny Highway: Try walking 6000 miles in the replacement refs shoes, subby. Then you will know their pain

Then you can make fun of them as much as you want. You'll be 6000 miles away. And you'll have their shoes.

WireFire2: Being a Seahawk fan I was obviously thrilled as everyone else in the sold out stadium that was a game winning catch.

Meanwhile, in Denver with real referees:

/yea, sorry, but the refs last night at least have a semi-plausible explanation compared to this call.

I wonder if the Seahag fans will get the karma they deserve for crying about calls the last few years.

Unless the players refuse to play or the fans refuse to watch, not a damn thing is going to change.

75 minutes of kneel-downs and a 0-0 tie on Thursday night's game would result in a new contract before the game was over.

Dog Welder: If I were the lead negotiator for the referee union, I would be asking for even more money this morning.

I'd start off with, "Soo.. How was your weekend? Do anything fun? I really liked all the 'Futbol Americano' signs on the field. Is that like the espresso drink? Watered down football?"

iron_city_ap: WireFire2: I was actually at the Seahawk's game (season ticket holder). That entire game was nothing but stupid and flat blown calls. Obviously the last one took the cake. Being a Seahawk fan I was obviously thrilled as everyone else in the sold out stadium that was a game winning catch. The whole last quarter was pretty awesome. However, I have to admit that was a shiat call and should have at least been an OPI.

They never showed the replay on the stadium screens and I honestly believe the head ref didn't overturn the ruling because he was scared that people would actually riot. I mean the place was crazy and it was the end of the game and everybody was shiatfaced and wanted the win.

The best part was when the refs actually ran into the locker rooms and dragged everyone back out for the extra point 10mins after the game was declared over. Mind you they had already started picking up the field markers and were taking down all the NFL banners and stuff too and had to put it all back.

They were saying on ESPN this morning that the ref isn't allowed to overturn the call by review in this situation. I'm not sure why they couldn't. I don't see how this is much different than a player bobbling the ball or stepping out of bounds.

Also, by rule, the extra point HAS to be attempted. Stupid rule.

Vegas disagrees.

soopey: libranoelrose: soopey: Wow. I went to bed at half time. Looks like things got worse after that.

That will teach you to sleep!

With all the delays it was almost 3 am at half time! 12 hour games suck!

I was happy with the 4 hour Chiefs outcome... :)

mr_a: Although the game winning touchdown seemed like the worst call of the night, NFL officiating on hail-mary plays has always been somewhat shaky.

The pass interference calls had much more of an effect on the game. Teams are learning to throw the ball down the field no matter what because there seems to be about a 20% chance that you will get a call against a defender no matter what.

Same deal with cheap shots. Most of them are missed, but some really silly things draw a flag. Might as well throw a punch.

Sooooo.... I guess you're saying
