Bill, it's time to quit.
I had hoped to run against you some day, but Florida got so farked up from the assholes moving from New Jersey that I had to leave.
I still have the picture of myself sitting in your chair in your office in D.C.
But it's time to go. Retire.

Funny thing is an 81-year-old delusional paranoid Alzheimer's patient with 21 terms in Congress can still get more done for his district than any rookie freshman woman ever will.

The hell you say! Being successful in politics is all about making good decisions, listening to your constituents, understanding the issues, and a deep devotion to the basic tenets of our system of governance, not about political powerbrokering and backroom deals colluding to exploit the government for personal power and gain.

I don't get it. Why is everyone laughing at me?

The pillow and rings were found on a couch on the second floor, the officer said. "We can't figure out how it got there unless his grandchildren left it there or some of their friends," Griffin said.

"We asked the kids," Young countered. "They never saw the item."

An actual quote from the time I met the guy: "People are getting into politics for all the wrong reasons these days." Bill isn't laughing at you. But for everything he does right, he's still a republican, and he must either answer to the party or they'll back someone else and he'll lose his job. At this point, though, I say he's old enough to retire and let some younger folks go at it.

/won't be voting for him anyway

That is called wasting American taxpayer dollars and makes him a bad legislator. Constituents too dumb to see that deserve this asshole - the rest of us don't.

There's a lot more stalkery going on these days than there was 10 years ago, so maybe the Congressman has a legitimate concern. Sounds like his garage wasn't really broken into, but he might well be on edge for good reason.

If it had been a legitimate break in, his security system would have activated, preventing the intruders from violating his home.

you can do dope when young and end up crazy and paranoid or you can wait until your 80's and end up crazy and paranoid.

course, eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, and staying away from dope greatly slows down the process of becoming crazy and paranoid. but why would anyone want to do that? its work, for christ sakes. and work is unamerican.

Oh, boo hoo. You said some heinous shiat and now you're jumping at shadows. Maybe there is justice in this universe.

Young acknowledged he is also more on his guard, too, after he was recently caught on video telling a constituent who asked about raising the minimum wage, "Get a job."

"I'm not used to this kind of personal treatment," he said.

The lack of self awareness is... unsurprising.

I'm just not seeing it. I'm seeing a guy who is watching his message unravel, and who is for one of the first times in his political life, not sure how he's being perceived. He's scared. And scared people see faces in the dark. Yeah, it's a little sad. But the complete absence of any introspection about why he's feeling paranoid makes me less sympathetic.

Like watching an alcoholic fail to recognize the pattern of his alcoholism, while still managing to recognize that his life is falling apart.

"I just don't get why bad things always happen to me!"

Well. Because you're drunk. All the time.

"Well, yeah, but that doesn't explain these headaches! Or my crushing debt! Or why my wife left me and took my kids. And that bastard judge is making me pay for them! And the biatch got the farking house and now I'm stuck in this farking studio apartment. Plus my boss has it out for me and if I lose my job I can't even afford alimony. What's ANY of that got to do with drinking?"

-_-

true, but if you aren't paranoid, then you wouldn't care if they're watching because you have nothing to hide and history is on your side. just like Mark Twain said, if you tell the truth its alot less work because you don't have to remember all your lies.

From your link: On July 1, the authority failed to make a $5 million payment to a New York bank, which is now demanding the entire amount it is owed: $90 million.

LMFAO, good luck with that one, suckers!

The Congresswomen for South Dakota is running on precisely two things: FARTBONGOCARE BAD! and the fact she had something to do with fighting the Feds on allowing 10 year olds to continue working on the farm. That's it. That's what she's bringing to the table. Oh, and she's hot (not a bad looking MILF actually) so, despite her utter lack of knowledge of the Government, she'll get re-elected by the over 60 tea tard crowd in this rube of a state,.

22 Terms, there ought to be Term Limits on Congress critters, it should not be a long term career. Maybe then they will start listening to their constituents again. I firmly believe all the issues with the Federal Government are because the Congress critters and Senators have Job Security.

if someone breaks into a house, there is usually some evidence. if the CONgressman was smart, he'd set up hidden cameras to catch them instead of whining about being broken into.

sounds like he's got one foot in his grave and he's sh*t scared, which is understandable. i.o.w. he's becoming senile. old age does that to you. your body and your mind age over time.

There is some truth to that. He did do a lot for the district and was a good Representative. He was the early advocate for bone marrow research, he believed that Congressional earmark requests should be public...he's done some good things.
But now, and in this political climate who can blame him for being paranoid, he should retire.
They'll never be able to replace him.
Yes, the story in the boobies was true. I'll try to find the picture and post it.

Operating under the assumption that the Congressman has been a victim of stalking on a purely physical level, this might be a good idea. However if the threat includes electronic attacks this could be one of the worst moves he could make - giving his attackers a 24/7 window into his comings and goings, while providing no additional security or assurance.

sounds like he's got one foot in his grave and he's sh*t scared, which is understandable. i.o.w. he's becoming senile. old age does that to you. your body and your mind age over time.

That is at least marginally plausible. However, we should bear Occam's Razor in mind.
