Exactly! I'm not sure what the issue is, that was clearly a touchdown. The officials did their job, they decided the game.

paj: Chris Kluwe on tonight - Link

We've seen them make mistake after mistake, and it'll only get worse as players and coaches continue to push the envelope to see what they can get away with (extra timeouts are pretty awesome, not gonna lie).

That man is a national treasure. He must be bronzed and placed on display for all to wonder at, and for children to make wishes upon. He should be named President for Life on his 35th birthday, and immediately cloned so through subsequent clonings he can continue to rule over us in a manner most fair and hilarious until such time as his clones start to lose definition much the same as a 40th-generation VHS copy would. Collections of his musings should be written down, translated into mathematical equations, and then shot into space in every direction so that alien species will know that we exist, and that we are awesome. "Groovy" should immediately be replaced in the English all lexicons by the word "Kluwey". He should be made a guest star on every Simpsons, Family Guy, and Futurama include past episodes, which can be done retroactively. Each star on the American flag should be replaced with a smiling Chris Kluwe face.

But that's just my opinion.

The correct answer is that the officiating in both games sucked, in fact this one was worse, but this one also was nowhere near as consequential. Packers will get over it and they'll probably still win their division by three games or more.

When you hire scabs to enforce the rules and make the calls, you open yourself up to all types of scrutiny. I honestly feel bad for those refs as a whole; as far as fan's trust & expectations, they were definitely doomed from the start.

That being said, this is going to be an interesting week for the NFL. Man the firehoses.

ZoSo_the_Crowe: I sound fat: Jay Cutler is not relevant to this discussion. Well, apart from being the only thing in the NFL that sucks worse than the officiating.

To be fair, have you heard about the new Super Mario game? It has Jay Cutler difficulty mode: there's no blocks.

Better than trying to play Skyrim on Tom Brady difficulty: The giants are unbeatable.

"There were no bad calls in the game tonight. None! I blame ESPN - they are marketing for the greedy, out of work NFL officials. We have fined 3 coaches, 2 players, and have the rest of the league surrounded by our lawyers. The league will flourish under the great leader, Roger Goodell."

SnarfVader: Anyone mention the other blown calls that went Green Bay's way, the 8 sacks, or that Green Bay shouldn't have let the game get down to the final play if they deserved to win yet?

[ image 300x168]

Yeah, all that has been mentioned.

It doesn't change the fact that the final call was horribly wrong.

WhyteRaven74: flamingboar: I just caught ESPN talking about all the fines that coaches got this season for arguing with the refs. I didn't know this was a league wide problem.

After tonight there's going to be millions in fines handed out.

As there should be. The officials made the correct call, but yet ESPN in a cynical attempt to drum up ratings is trying to manufacture a controversy. It's sad to see so many Americans fooled into questioning the officials' call.

Rush is farking right your all 0bummer sheep helping him push for a sociialist (i.e. union) nation. The replacement refs are no better or worse than the socialist refs. kingflower: davidphogan: kingflower: It actually was a touchdown, that's the way the refs called it. Now accept the outcome and get on with your life. Crying about a game will get you nowhere in life. Life is not fair, and I for one commend the NFL for driving home this point.

If the shiat refs could have controlled the game at any level it wouldn't have come down to that call. But it did. And they blew it.

As far as the refs are concerned, you play the hand you are dealt in life. If Green Bay had taken better care of the football, maybe you are looking at a different outcome. The Packers knew the Seahawks were in four down territory and were knocking on the door. Green Bay should have executed better on the last play. The Seahawks orchestrated a heroic comeback, one for the ages, and to have that diminished by sour grapes is unfortunate. I do agree with you that it was a circus catch at the end, but Golden did make the catch. The pass was right on the money. Green Bay blew the coverage and they would probably like to have that last play back. The officials could have called holding on every play of the game when Green Bay was on offense, and you don't hear anyone crying about that. Welcome to the NFL.

I think we found Koman Coulibaly's alt.

GAT_00: I'm going to say it again: the coaches and players need to refuse to take the field this weekend, and perhaps the Browns-Ravens (I think) can get us started on Thursday. Goodell will only be forced to address this if we all stand up and spit in his eye. The coaches and players need to boycott, and if they can't we need to.

I agree with you, but watching all these bad calls is in itself pretty damn entertaining.
