I damn near pissed myself when they asked "Do you support Romney because he's black?"

2012-09-24 11:49:42 PM
Oh, please, Howard... you act surprised

/if there weren't a lot of astoundingly stupid people out there, you'd never have had a radio career

Jaywalking with Howard Stern.

What farking hole in the ground must you live in to not know Bin Laden is dead?!!!?

You forget that Jay stole the bit from Howard...

Cubansaltyballs: fusillade762: Jaywalking with Howard Stern.

You forget that Jay stole the bit from Howard...

I didn't forget. I actually never knew that in the first place.

My favorite of Jay's is still the one where he asks college graduates (what college I'm not sure) how many moons the Earth has. One response: "Uh, I dunno, three?" Not that I've watched Leno in a decade or so.

Afghanistan, or the Bronx.

I was wondering when noted political analyst Howard Stern would weigh in.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fox News was telling its viewers that the whole Bin Laden take-down was a hoax perpetrated by the liberal media to garner support for Obama.

2012-09-25 01:35:37 AM
Yes, there are grossly misinformed people all over. But it's worse to cater to them and prop them up as the informed ones of our society.

Meanwhile, Fox now realizes there are people who don't know that OBL is dead. This is great because Romney can finally kill him too. OBLs death isn't an Obama victory, it's an American victory (for Romney.)

I'm wondering it it isn't an ignorance thing so much as a mental disorder that goes unchecked.

Howard Stern interviews idiots who support Obama on the streets of New York, and Fox News is at fault.

Good job, guys, what a way to accept reality.

Yes and yes. They aren't actually related. Good logic there. Sorry about your Stern interview.

Newsflash 1: canvass enough people and you're gonna get some morons.

Newsflash 2: a program like Stern's is going to showcase only the morons.

The sad thing is you could do something similar to Republicans that have been elected.

Exactly

People want to see other people make asses out of themselves. That is why they only showcase these folk. People making themselves look foolish sells. Same thing happened with Tea Party and OWS where media focused mostly on the idiots of the group.

Visit a Tea Party forum sometime.

The media is being nice to the Tea Party.

Dunno, but its probably near the one where all those Ohioans who think Romney was responsible for his death have been hiding

A lot of those questions, to a person only half listening (like, say, if they're nervous), will be misunderstood. And to a person not confident in their understanding of current events, the questions could make them assume they understood wrong.

Yes, people are dumb. The more relevant obvious fact is that people are easily misled and manipulated.

2012-09-25 04:45:11 AM
FTA: "Just trust me, not one person knew that Osama bin Laden was dead," Stern said during the segment.

Utter horseshiat. You interviewed a large number of people until you found some morons or people so desperate to be on air they were willing to pretend to be morons. You can do this with any group - the Daily Show did it once with Tea Partiers and OWSers in the same episode.

God, I knew he was desperate for listeners, but I didn't know he was desperate enough to resort to O'Keefe style dishonest editing shiat.

The salient point that should be taken from this is that "people are dumb"

/Kinda wondering what sort of weapons-grade Derp he'd get from asking the Republicans.
//Oh, wait... TDS did that already.

2012-09-25 05:08:58 AM
Of course people are stupid in the main.

How do you think Stern stays on the air?

We thought we had three moons for a while there. The number's now approaching fourteen. The argument is currently that we should adjust the definition to be tight enough that we only have one.

BEG, BORROW OR STEAL (BBC2)
Jamie Theakston: Where do you think Cambridge University is?
Contestant: Geography isn't my strong point.
Theakston: There's a clue in the title.
Contestant: Leicester?

BBC NORFOLK
Stewart White: Who had a worldwide hit with What A Wonderful World?
Contestant: I don't know.
White: I'll give you some clues: what do you call the part between your hand and your elbow?
Contestant: Arm.
White: Correct. And if you're not weak, you're...?
Contestant: Strong.
White: Correct - and what was Lord Mountbatten's first name?
Contestant: Louis.
White: Well, there we are then. So who had a worldwide hit with the song What A Wonderful World?
Contestant: Frank Sinatra?

People are stupid. Except for me.

2012-09-25 05:43:57 AM
I recently heard a woman chastising an early twenties "bro" about his lack of political knowledge. He could name "President Osama" but could not name Romney at all when she put him on the spot. He finally gave up and just said "Look, I'm not good with politics, okay?"

2012-09-25 05:49:22 AM
Who gives the slightest little shiat about Howard Stern?

2012-09-25 05:51:09 AM
amazing, if this was about Romney, farkers would be spouting off about how stupid and backwards are Republican voters. But nope since this is about Obama voters we get

.

so yet again it isn't the peoples fault they are ignorant it has to lie with the white man in power asking the questions.

Actually, I'd hope Farkers would be big enough to point out you can do this shiat with any position even if Stern was cherry-picking dumb Romney supporters.

Let's do a poll.

We'll ask how many Democrats know that Bin Laden is dead.

And then we'll ask how many Republicans think Obama is either Kenyan or Muslim.

What do you think the conclusion will be?

2012-09-25 06:23:30 AM

MacEnvy: I was wondering when noted political analyst Howard Stern would weigh in.

To be fair to Stern, he went from having someone that was a walking joke directly to Obama. Imagine finding oil on your property and then, after eight years of living the high life the oil disappears.

Quite. Reminds me of the entire R party.

As much as I hate stupidity and ignorance, part of it is that some people's brains freeze up when you put a microphone in front of them. Granted these were clearly not the brightest people in the first place, but that does amplify the effect.

Half of them apparently don't even know how female anatomy works.

It's part of the joy of our country that we let every eligible citizen vote, even useless mouth-breathing piles of shiat like you. :)

A lot of times when entertainment radio broadcasts are talking to the proverbial man on the street, they're really talking to an actor who is reading from a script.

2012-09-25 06:30:31 AM
The point of this (and the time he did it in 08) is simple

Obama supporters in Harlem are predominantly black

this exercise proves a portion of the community is only voting for Obama because he is black

2012-09-25 06:31:27 AM
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that this thread is filed under Politics rather than Entertainment? Stern is an entertainer, not a pundit. He's done similar bits for years for the simple reason that they're entertaining. Go farking figure.

Even though historically, an overwhelming amount of minorities have backed the Democrat, black or white?

Can't see why they would do that. The Republican Party has only been alienating them since 1964.

2012-09-25 06:38:30 AM
Really? The "ask random questions to people so dumb radio fans can feel better about their lives" bit? Wow, good to the know the "King of All Media" has resorted to what any half-assed morning zoo jerk-off would do for a 15 minute segment on a slow Wednesday. Glad I'm not giving this tired has-been my money.

I'd rather someone who didn't know why they were voting for Obama, than someone who was exactly sure why they were voting for Romney.
