Was that Herbie the Love Bug in one of those pictures?

Do they have Basil Fawlty's Austin 1100 or the young ones Vivians' plastic pig?

The back to the future delorean seems a bit odd to me. I went to a car show and saw the actual vehical, the one with mr fusion on it and the rims seemed to look different to me.

And then those UK plutocrat-farkers can acquire the Hope Diamond, the Sphinx, and a long-term lease on the moon!

This is the Delorean from Back to the Future Part III - where the tires and wheels were replaced with what was available in 1955. Notice the box full of electronics (also vintage 1950's stuff) on the hood. Later in the movie, the car was modified again to roll on a railroad track. BTW, there were quite a few Deloreans used in the making of these movies.

wha wha what??? You mean it wasn't a documentary filmed in real time?

I'd take realistic models of all of the above...

Wonder how many of the cop-cars from Blues Brothers they have stocked up?

2003-11-26 07:48:41 AM
This car needs some tender lovin'. But with the right paint job, and a police kit scrounged from a junkyard, you'd have a '74 Dodge Monaco for cheap. Now all you'd need is a ratty black suit and a brother in prison to go pick up.

I didn't see your comment Alagfuin, but yeah that would be the ultimate movie car to have. You'd always be tempted to wear the black suit and hat, and heaven forbid you ever came up to a rising drawbridge....

"Its got a cop motor, a 440 cubic-inch plant. Its got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. Its a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas."

Screw Bean's car, what about that three wheeled thing he always managed to tip over?

I work next door to that museum. It's quite spiffy inside, I was in there a month or two ago. Trouble is, it's in the middle of nowhere.

Who would want the batmobile? I heard it lost a wheel shortly after Robin layed an egg.

MachuPichu...

And the Joker got away too.

When a vehicle is prominent in a movie or TV, usually they have several of them that are exactly the same . I seem to remember that in "The Dukes of Hazzard", they had 9 of those cars, so that they could always have one that was ready for filming. This is why several different museums can have "The" car used in a movie.

Fix the cigarette lighter.

Now, now.

"UK Farkers" isn't quite right.

I believe we all know "Farkours" to be the correct term.

Or "Farkres". That works as well.

The Blues Brothers holds the record for "most cars wrecked" during the making of a movie.

Bonus trivia: the Pintos the Nazis drove were FAA certified for their drop scene.

"dibs" on the red lotus 'esprit' ... sweet !

The collection is worth it for the Lincoln Futura (the batmobile). That is probably the coolest car never made.

That's a farking sweet ass car.

more sweet futuristic (for the 50s) rides that don't exist.

I would have one question, and EXACTLY one, before writing a check for this joint:

"How many of these work?"

Come ON! What would be the point of buying what's essentially the world's coolest garage if you couldn't take these babies out for a spin once in awhile?

2003-11-26 02:10:14 PM
...and possibly even a "Back to the Future" Delorean.

More than one was made? *shrug* I saw one, which is on display at Universal Studios in Hollywood...

Mr. Bean's car belongs to me!
