Iron Felix: That's what I love about NYC, people know how to get shizz done...except the cop who pointed the shotgun into the crowd of people

That's what I was saying! "Uh, officer, you wanna be a little careful with that thing?"

Rapmaster2000: If only the thief used rollerskates and hangliding in his caper, we'd be halfway to a CHiPs episode.

+1, would lol again, Ponch.

whidbey: Shiat. I still hate hearing about bizarre violent crime in Seattle. Hits a little close to home.

Welcome to the United States. Enjoy your stay.

Lunaville: Lunaville: Deacon Blue: Lunaville: Super Chronic: Lunaville: whidbey: Shiat. I still hate hearing about bizarre violent crime in Seattle. Hits a little close to home.

I had no idea there was bizarre violent crime in Seattle. The only two people I've ever known to visit or live in Seattle for a while both claim the laid back, calm, relaxed attitude of people in Seattle drove them each to abandon their pacifist beliefs. One claims he became so frustrated living and working with people who seemed never to get angry about anything, he began to have fantasies of bludgeoning the guy in the next cubicle with a coffee mug. When he realized he'd never be laid back enough for Seattle, he came back to the Southeast.

Ever heard of Ted Bundy or Gary Ridgway?

I vaguely remember hearing of Ted Bundy when I was a child. I've never heard of Gary. Were they Seattle area criminals?

You have go to be kidding. Vaguely?

Give me a minute to look Bundy up and see how old I was when he was in the news.

I'm back from brief journey to Wikipedia. First, ick and oh my G-d. Bundy was incarcerated in 1975. I was eight years old. So, yeah, even my highly dysfunctional family would not have plopped me down in front of a lot of news programs about him.

I was 1 in 1974... and I know all about Ted Bundy. History, even recent history, is your friend.

Jesus, both killers have had their life histories endlessly dissected on A&E and TruTV and the History Channel....what do people watch on TV, anyway?

What I took away from this thread: If you don't know your history of mass murderers/psycho-killers, you lived a sheltered life. Got it.

Um, in the rhyme, the baker was one of the "knaves" who got "turn[ed] out," not one of the people who helped turn out the knave as this baker did.

/ just sayin'

Well, you see, I didn't know where your office was.
So I asked the newsboy. He didn't know.
So I asked the fireman, the green grocerer, the butcher, the baker, they didn't know!
But the liquor store guy... he knew.

Miss Stein: Fade2black: Rambino: I'm glad they included a picture of the perp - shown here on the right:

What - he's not the perp? Unpossible.

In all fairness, the perp *was* black.

Perp's name is Edmond Maynor. Here's his Facebook wall:

The look on his face at 2:21 of the video is the money shot.
