milesl: The last 4 years has been horrible. Nice to see subby is a media tool.

Really? I got a small raise, but I got a house cheap, my 401K has soared over 30%, and the new Obamacare rules guarantee that if I do lose my job, my pre-existing conditions will still be covered. Oh, and they've stopped laying off at my workplace.

How are you doing?

Oh good lord. Reminds me of my elementary school music teacher, who pulled her pants up to midway between her waist and breasts. Looked like her vagina was HUGE.

There is only one candidate who has signed an assault weapons ban into law.

NeoCortex42: quatchi: Cletus C.: It is absolutely vital that Romney provide specifics on economic policies.

So you're saying he may as well give up then?

If Mitt provides specifics on his real economic policies his poll numbers will kamikaze.

Someone just needs to get him to admit what tax deductions he'd close. It's already been determined that his "plan" is not feasible without either raising rates on the middle class or getting rid of some very popular deductions.

Every interviewer should be doing their best to try to force him to answer that question.

I agree. Without specifics, people could jump to conclusions like raising taxes on the middle class. His promise to close loopholes to make up the difference doesn't add up, so draw your own conclusions, Democrats. Gladly, say Democrats.

If he were a Democrat with that plan Republicans would probably conclude he plans to shut down the Department of Defense. Speak up, Romney.

TimonC346: Republicans have almost no reason to be as annoyed with Obama. Almost everything he's done was either something Republican leadership dreamed up, or something they were in favor of in the past.

Liberals have way more reason to be angry than conservatives.

But Obama is the most liberal of liberals to ever liberal the white house with his liberalism!!! Why he is a full socialist who will force everyone worship the state. Oh and he is a black kenyan muslim who is trying to resurrect the Ottoman Empire.

Cletus C.: The economy is the soft underbelly of the Obama administration

Really? Would that be the economy that was losing 750,000 jobs per month when Obama took office? Would that be the economy that lost 3,600,000 jobs the year before Obama took office? Would that be the economy that is creating an average of 130,000 jobs per month under Obama? Would that be the economy that even while Europe and the rest of the world is struggling, we have still created 4.5 million jobs?

You are correct. It would be the economy with an 8.3 percent unemployment rate. That's the one.

Romney and Ryan and Ryan both suffer from the same problem - the more you get to know them the less appealing they are. Both the party elite and Romney were counting on him being able to run as Generic Republican. I'm not sure why they thought this would pass muster. Ryan has almost the same problem in reverse - he wants to run as a Generic Movement Conservative, but the facts are he's just another amoral power seeker like Romney who is willing to jettison or adopt beliefs as the moment suits ("Ayn Rand? Never heard of her"). The fact that they are both thin skinned and especially peevish when reminded of their shared propensity for exaggeration and outright fabrication. If Obama were white, they wouldn't make 40% of the vote.

The US economy is the Titanic. Bush was the Captain and ran it into the iceberg. He and his first mate got fired and Obama took over a badly listing, close to sinking ship. Four years later instead of resting at the bottom of the sea the ship is getting closer to it's original cruising speed as it nears the harbor but instead of being grateful and learning from their mistakes, the GOP is claiming that not only could they have fixed it too, but they would now turn it into a speedboat if given another chance.

All I know is that four years ago I was working for a company that I hated. Got canned, spent a year living off of unemployment (thank you government), and now have the best job of my life. I love my current job, and while I don't make as much money, I also don't dread going to work every day.

So fark yeah, I'm better off than I was four years ago.

Only if the trolls in the GOP don't actively pledge to thwart EVERYTHING he does like they did in Round 1.

Sometimes I have to remind myself how lucky I am that none of my relatives are like that.

Mine could give a shiat about guns, but they are furious they are not clearing a million dollars a year yet. Their families pull in around 200-300k, they live in absurd McMansions, they drive multiple new cards and have kids that get one of everything. And they are angry all of them time. They get angry when they hear about poor people having food stamps or healthcare or job placement assistance. "No one ever helped me!" they shout, forgetting how our great-grandmother arrived in Michigan after fleeing her home country of Armenia during the Turkish Genocide. How this country opened its arms to refugees with nothing but the clothes they wore and memories of dead villages.

They have everything, fume over people with nothing, and forget their own history as they curse immigrants. Christmas should be interesting this year.
