That was from 2000, not 2001 (the YouTube clip was wrong). I know because I was there. 7/31/2000 Madison Square Garden (last show of the Reunion tour; recorded for the "Live in NYC" album)

Ehh.....I just can't bring myself to troll this thread with a comment about Bon Jovi being the best thing to come out of New Jersey.

bullshiat!

Here is a list of better people: (for starters)
Abbot and Costello
Frank Sinatra
Daisy Fuentes
Victor Cruz
Jon Bon Jovi
Michael Douglas
Whitney Houston
Joe Pesci
Bruce Willis

Arguably ALL better in some way than Bruce Springstein. Especially the first two.

I have no problem putting Bruce first as long as Ted Leo is in the top 10.

I don't know about Bon Jovi. I was just having that rant today during his "we weren't born to follow" song today. I'm not the biggest fan of Springsteen's "working man" schtick, but at least he's been doing it his whole career. Now Bon Jovi's a man of the people? Please.

Bruce Willis, though? For The Fifth Element and Stylo, he wins.

New Jersey: A state so foul, Springsteen seems refreshing.

Jesus! What is wrong with you people?

I'll never forget the first time I brought this album home. My Mom heard this song and said, "He sings like he has his foot caught in a bear trap."

I said, "Yes! Exactly! You get it!"

You gunsels obviously do not.

ManateeGag: bullshiat!

Here is a list of better people: (for starters)
Abbott and Costello: Spell Abbott's name right, moron. Awesome, but in a different way from Bruce
Frank Sinatra: THIS because Frankie's always the man
Daisy Fuentes: Shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath
Victor Cruz: Score me more points in fantasy and I'll consider it
Jon Bon Jovi: oh fark NO
Michael Douglas: Born in Jersey, not raised
Whitney Houston Loved her voice, sorry she couldn't handle her drugs
Joe Pesci: Plays the same character repeatedly. Lucky enough to win an Oscar for one
Bruce Willis: Reps Jersey somewhat, not associated closely enough

Arguably ALL better in some way than Bruce Springstein. Especially the first two.

And it's SPRINGSTEEN, dumbass.

/points off for no mention of Kevin Smith

Springsteen came out in New Jersey? I never knew he was gay.

First five albums are for the rock 'n' roll ages.

And he STILL puts on the best show in the business.

Did he wear his costume on stage ?

Work shirt and jeans and work boots with a bandanna to wipe the sweat out of eyes after a hard day at the mill.

Or did he put on the demon outfit / Gene Simmons?

He went with his birthday suit.

Yea, still wears the bandana. It is still 1985 here as well. Things change, and he is still writing good music. Check it out.
