I came face-to-face with Miss Theron at a screening during the Toronto Film Festival early in her career...I think she was there promoting 2-Days in the Valley. I didn't even know who she was at the time.

She was incredibly beautiful. Stop-you-dead-in-your-tracks beautiful. Mesmerizing.

Doesn't anyone remember the Playboy spread before she was a star? I'm gonna say she may have been the only model that didn't require any air brushing. On a side note I remember how amazed my Mom was by how beautiful Charlize Theron is. She watched Monster shortly before she passed away and didn't know it was Theron until the credits. She was amazed because she thought she was one of the five most beautiful women she had ever seen.

She has perfectly nice, very regular features and really isn't missing anything that would contribute to someone's looking beautiful, but nonetheless she doesn't grab me. I feel like I need to go to some type of AA meeting to confess this--she's considered that good looking by most people. I think I prefer someone with more striking looks, more contrast. Maybe she needs thicker eyebrows or something. I can't put my finger on it, but she is tottering on the edge of looking like just another Hollywood-level-preened average pretty blonde for me. She does seem very nice, though. I'm surprised things didn't work out with her ex. They made a handsome, balanced couple. I don't think this new one will last.
