Ha ha! They put the steering wheel on the wrong side!

Not bad for having probably spent months practicing the routine, prepping the car and engine and making sure everything was in position to start with.

1. It's a Ford so it was probably just a question of moving around some rubber bands.
2. I personally would not have kept my head under the car while they were dropping in the engine.

Oh, Royal Marines....how cute

Surprising really, considering how certain jobs on a US Escort are a PITA.
We called them "Asscorts" for a reason.

OK:

1. Hood not attached
2. All non-powertrain equipment has already been removed from under the bonnet -- i.e. A/C, windshield washer, air filtration, oh and THE FARKING RADIATOR AND WATER PUMP

Yeah, fair trial that was.

Not.

absolute bullshiat too
they only hooked up one wheel.

Not too shabby for a fortnight's worth of practice.

Firstly, yes, that wasn't a removal and refit as you'd expect from a garage. That is, you couldn't legally drive that car on a public road.

But secondly, the presence of the late, great Roy Castle leads me to believe this was a Guinness record attempt, so their guidelines for what constitutes a record doesn't necessarily include legality outside the attempt arena

Well, sometimes, when a raj likes another raj very much...

Better than my best time. Took me about a year to change an engine on own.

Fine but don't try to pass it off as a fair match against a garage at 3.5 hours for a typical replacement since they have to deal with the reality of an engine compartment chock a block with other non-engine related equipment. It's not a fair match as they set up the premise.

I thought Admiral Ackbar just warned us about traps. I see he's crossed over to television presenter now.

You've clearly never met a Royal Marine.

They aren't Marines. They are UK Marines. The more retarded cousins of our American retards.

you don't. however, the video stated they trained for 2 weeks, not months and my point still stands. thanks for playing.
