By all accounts Lennon had enormous fun making that movie, and they were so far from anything that he didn't have fans bothering him all teh time.

His fans are also saying that he played all positions far better than any of his teammates, and that without Lennon, there would have been no team at all.

The batting setup makes it look like you get hit in the nards more often than in baseball.

Looks like he'd never played before in his life. He was a working-class scouse, probably an Liverpool fan.

Dunno, I know for a fact I've seen pics of him playing cricket on the film set for .... ever?

These might be taken one motorized click later, but they aren't shocking and new.

...except that he wasn't. His parents were working class, but he was raised by his Aunt Mimi who was middle class, who sent him to private school, etc. I'm sure he played cricket as a boy, though he may have played badly.

Actually, the headline doesn't seem to be anti-Lennon so much as it's pointing out how his fans have made him into the bestest, most talented musician ever, and that ever utterance or fart he recorded is gold.

To me he sounds like a reasonable person who has had just about enough of the beatlemaniac auto-fellation of a decreasingly relevant teen pop band.
