Have any of you bothered to go to YouTube to watch the 14 minute movie that's caused the death of many people? It's a disjointed, badly dubbed piece of garbage! Those people were looking for an excuse to raid that embassy.

There is a small part of me that thinks the powers that be (in the U.S.) wanted something like this to happen. The ensuing turmoil will probably soon be used to justify all kinds of actions in the middle east.

As far as Islam goes, well, they've been around for about 1400 years now. What were the Christians doing circa 1400-1900?

Might take a few hundred years but they'll get over themselves.....mostly.

FTFA:

Elsewhere on Friday, about 3,000 protesters in the southern Iraq city of Basra condemned the film and caricatures of the prophet that were published in a French satirical weekly. They burned Israeli and U.S. flags and raised a banner that read: "We condemn the offenses made against the prophet."

Tens of thousands of supporters of the shiate Hezbollah movement held a raucous protest in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek. Later, a few thousand supporters of a hard-line Sunni cleric held gathered in the capital, Beirut. Both demonstrations directed outrage at the U.S. and Israel over what they believed was a grave insult to Muhammad.

What does Israel have to do with this? Fark you, caveslugs.

The film making industry with all of their special effects can make some death scenes look pretty realistic.

Why doesn't someone just make a 5 minute film portraying the execution by the US government of the individual responsible for making the film, post it on the interwebs and put and end to all this stoopid shiat.

Porous Horace: What does Israel have to do with this?

.....about as much as the U.S. did. This wasn't a government sponsored propaganda video this was a video made by some asshat bigot in CA. If we held countries responsible for what their average citizens do, we'd have attacked Syria, Lebanon, Egypt the UAE and Saudi Arabia in addition to Afghanistan (and Iraq... wtf) for the trade centers. With our ally Saudi Arabia having more of their citizens in on the plot than any other country. Hell wasn't Bin Laden technically a Saudi prince?

I was leaning towards burning witches, suppressing scientific inquiry, subjugating women and condemning other faiths (primarily Muslims, Jews and the Pagans faiths) and killing their practitioners.

However, your answer is also correct, +1.

Hmmm. Six years ago, I was on the newspaper staff at a community college. One of my fellow editors wrote an article about the furor surrounding the quickly-cancelled TV show "The Book of Daniel." The headline he gave it was "Pill-Popping Priest Program Plagues Pious Parents."

You know we should just churning out crap like this. Make it a goal to have a new movie, book, cartoon or whatever released at least once a week. Let them burn their countries down because they can't ignore something that offends them. Maybe they'll learn.

The movie is not from Israel, nor did the Israeli government have any hand in it nor any Israeli citizen.
So you tell me, what does Israel have to do with it?
