Abe Vigoda's Ghost: Forecaster18: Apple fanboys and their ridiculous pricing are the reasons I'll never own an Apple product.

Pricing on the phones are competitive with other smart phones.
The hardcore fan base is a turn off. It could make you feel ashamed by association.
I had an iPhone 4 that I upgraded to a Galaxy S2 a while back.
I don't see myself going back to an iPhone anytime again.
I do like coming into these threads and rattling the iStuff fanboys cages.

And BTW; posted on my iPad.

This is not true. The two latest iterations of the iPhone are inferior to their Android counterparts. For the iPhone 5, the hardware is certainly competitive, but the lack of features and innovation puts it on par with the Samsung Galaxy S 2, not the S 3. The S2 is $100 right now with an upgrade or new contract. That's where the iPhone 5 should be.

Flint Ironstag: You went from a categorical "No (of course you can)" to "Of course you can't. It's sandboxed" in one post.

No. You and several others claimed it was impossible. I told you how to do it and why it worked that way.

Also, what's up with the Apple haters constantly trying to spread lies like:

Apple phones cost more
You can't attach documents to an email
etc

Stick to factual complaints. Stop making shiat up.

Or go back to making excuses for why it doesn't count when your favorite phone shatters when dropped. Those were fun.

Where did I claim it was impossible? Link?

Someone else made a comment, and I said "BTW, is it really true that you can't attach files to an email on the iPhone?"

You replied "No"

That's it. "No"

Even though you knew the iPhone would not let you attach a file to a reply, you didn't mention that. You replied with a categorical "No".

But when I mentioned I had Googled and found a problem with replies you totally changed your tune. Now it wasn't "No (of course you can)", it was suddenly "Of course you can't It's a security feature"

And now you are lying again by claiming I had claimed it was impossible.

Another lie. I've already explained how to do that as well.

Liar.

Hey, look everybody.

After two days of availability, the percentage of Apple users running iOS 6 is double the percentage of Android users who have managed to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich over the last entire year.

God, what a sucky fragmented user experience Android has.

So you couldn't find where I "claimed it was impossible"? That's strange...

And you did explain how to attach files. You have to close mail, open another app, find the file, click copy, open mail again and click Paste. So you admit that Mail doesn't let you attach files? And my Android lets me do all that from within the Email app.
Even iPhone owners on Macforums complained about the problem. Has it changed in OS6?
iPhone owners have been complaining about it since at least 2009.

I thought Apple stuff "just works"? Except when you have to find workarounds that involve more steps to do the job apparently....

But "it's not a bug. It's a feature..."

Man, it's eerie how the Apple fanboy rhetoric regarding Android has reverted to the Windows vs. OSX method of yelling about how the majority user base must be having a sucky experience--like the North Korean government telling its people that everyone living under western democracy is miserable. Nope, we're doing just fine.

Don't worry, I'm sure there's at least one more major Jobs idea in the product pipeline, so when that comes out and succeeds you can dismiss phones and tablets as old, stagnating product lines and trumpet that new gadget as the only thing that matters.

Inability to upgrade your phone is a good user experience?

After Jelly Bean has been out for two months, it's barely managed to hit a 1%.

iOS passed 35% in two days.

Your phone ecosystem just plain sucks.

You mean to say that the average user is an idiot and can't upgrade his/her phone's OS unless the manufacturer/distributor does it for them? Unpossible.

There are people still running "outdated" OS'es because they just don't care. Your iPhone works for you. Their phone works for them. Let it go. Take a deep breath. Everyone just step back for a minute and think about what's really important in life.

Here's a hint: gadgets pretty much aren't.

IMO Android OS sucks really bad. The longer you own the phone, the slower it gets over time, updates can break features (alarm clock going missing one workday morning). My super clean and organized directory structure has become a mess and I don't recognize 90% of the folders in my root directory. The physical keyboard has delays when typing and the keys don't register maybe 5% of the time. The battery also doesn't last very long if you actually use the phone. But at least I've got a real keyboard, I've had 4g for 2 years, a super bright large easy to see screen, and I run playable emulators and generally do what I want with the phone. Pick your poison.

I still use my HTC Desire from two and a half years ago and its still great. If it wasn't for the bigger screen of my One X I'd have kept it and still be using it.
