Those are my two fantasy QBs :/

Those arent "power rankings," which implies a stats based method.

This is some guys opinions he pulls out of his ass and promotes cause he has a job in the media.

I've been spoiled in recent years by clicking any QB ranking list and expecting to find Drew Brees mentioned in the same sentence as Rodgers and Brady. He'll be back, especially when Lance Moore remembers how to catch a farking ball.

Heh, he called Cutler and Vick "boxes of chocolate." I prefer to think of Cutler as an enigma, wrapped inside a mystery, encased in a conundrum. Vick should forever be considered a box of doggie biscuits.

Yeah and any idiot that has cam newton in the same class as drew brees is too stupid to comment on football. Cam is maybe in the top 20 but hes not close to top 5-6 status by a long way.

Poor Eli, guess he's got to punk Brady in the Super Bowl again before people start to think he might be as good.

Wonder if Flacco will move up if he outplays Brady again like he did in the AFC Champ last year.

Interesting tidbit in the local paper about Kolb; his wife is 38 weeks pregnant and her due date is 10/4, which is when the Cards play....shiat....I forget. but the Cards play on the road. Either Rams or Vikes. I forget.

And Kolb says he will "most likely" choose being at the birth instead of plaiyng. so independently of whether Skelton returns next week, there is a chance Kolb won't be at the game.

Mentioning Carson Palmer in the same paragraph as the word "hope" is being awfully generous.

Lost Thought 00: So... Derek Anderson?

no, DA is #2 in Carolina; did you not hear the news about Cam Newton sulking after he was pulled for DA?

SKelton is being held out of tomorrow's game (though not confirmed, he didn't take any first team snaps this week) and while he'll probably be in uniform, most likely undrafted FA Ryan Lindley will be the #2.

and for as lucky as both Arizona and Philly have been, someone is walking out of that game 3-0. Incredible.

i completely agree. Has anyone gotten more mileage of out one Pro Bowl appearance than Palmer? and that was what, 2005?

OK....just looked. two pro bowls. but that in 2005 and 2006. At what point will people realize he is who he is? His productivity (and accuracy) diminished year after year yet he was still being chirped up -- as here -- as being juuuuuuuuuuuust on the verge of being a first tier QB. Nope. his best seasons were six years ago. Don't tell me he is magically goingt o lead a team to a playoff run.

I got the impression he was trying to imply that they have Forrest Gump's mental capacity when it comes to quarterbacking.

Stafford's been horrible through two starts.

He's too fat to succeed in life.

Eli chucks a lot of deep balls where he risks interceptions, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
I think this is why he is so inconsistent and why he is so dangerous in the 4th quarter with nothing to lose.
Peyton, Rogers or Brady have less practice being reckless ;)

Flacco will outplay a lot of QB's in a lot of games when they are facing the Baltimore defense and Flacco isn't.
If the Ravens start winning games despite their defense he'll be in the conversation with guys like Brees and Rogers who carry teams with an ordinary or worse defense.
Flacco has the tools to do that and I expect him to if and when Ray and Ed finally realize they are mortal but until then he'll get less credit and fewer opportunities for shoot out numbers.

Me also. Watched the Raiders game last week, and he sucks. He looked dangerous early as the D was looking at McFadden and leaving big gaps in the zone, but his accuracy got worse and worse as the game went on.

Now. I may be the only guy in Maine who's watched both Miami games, does everybody else think Tannehill is as bad as the conventional wisdom says? Yes he has three ints on paper, but two of those were mostly bad luck and great DL play. No farking way is he as bad as Gabbert.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Random comment on how the Eagles pull out a last second win again this week:

"15 seconds left, Eagles down by 6. Kevin Kolb lines up the Cardinals in kneel-down formation, takes the snap and suddenly tears off his jersey to reveal midnight green underneath. He throws a screen pass to Nnamdi Asomugha, who easily outraces the Arizona offensive line to the end zone.

In the aftermath, Andy Reid hits Roger Goodell with a folding chair."

Problem is that "Big Red Machine" has already been used by the Cincinnati Reds, while "Red Rocket" is still available and can easily be used as a derogatory term for "dog boner" if he ends up being a bust.

Is Easterbrook still recycling the same column over and over and over again? because it wasn't bad the first few dozen times I read it but after that I started feeling like I was in a psychology experiment.

Pretty much. You find the same themes every week: Helmets, stupid team nicknames, and a story about a team that doesn't punt.

- A nickname for a collective can be reused for an individual w/ no infringement

- Most folks equate it with wwe rather than joe morgan

Unlike most masochistic browns fans I don't flog myself with tattered bedazzeled couch jerseys while jerking it to a loop of the fumble.

- big red machine it is

No need to hedge your bet

There were two fouls on the play. Personal foul, unsportsman-like conduct on the defense. Personal foul, blow to the head on the offense. Those penalties offset, replay 1st down.

I will say it again. Romo needs to win a Super Bowl or personally stop everyone from calling him elite. He's done nothing but prove he cannot win a big game.

Not a Romp fan, but I'm fairly sure there are 52 other players on those teams that also haven't won a Super Bowl
