My dad slept naked, but unlike the rest of us didn't have the courtesy of putting on a robe or pair of underwear before he stomped down the hall to pee. So there were all these awkward moments when we were both trying to piss at the same time and there I was, confronted with the man's twig and berries.

It was not pleasant, and if I shopped around I'm sure I'd find a shrink who could trace my functional alcoholism and commitment-phobia right back to when I first saw my dad's dick. And he wouldn't change, even after my mom suggested that maybe roaming around nekkid in the middle of the night (or to get coffee in the morning) isn't such a good idea with a kid running around the house. He was all, "Whatevah, I do what I want."
