Yay Pokemon battles!

They just gave me a free week to come back and "get ready" for Pandaria. I played for about 45 minutes and realized that I'd made the right decision in moving on from WoW. I don't know that I'll fall in love with SW:TOR, but I'm giving it a try.

it's fun enough. it's pretty much WoW with lightsabers though. the neat thing is instead of spending time with professions, you send your followers to do the gathering and crafting for you.

WOW still exists because of the online communities. No different than any other online community.

Never played WoW and never cared to. I did however become of one several thousand to be suckered into buying D3... what a joke... Hacked accounts, a company attempting to sell you additional products to secure their lack of security... That was the last Blizzard/Battle.net POS software I will ever own.

WotLK was a fun expansion. Cataclysm just. . . sucked.

The grind was exactly like a dead-end job and nothing like fun.

My initial reaction to this being announced was "you're kidding, right?", and dissolved into apathy shortly after. Quit in January, and it would take pretty much a complete game revamp to bring me back.

I'll give them credit, they do generally have the best combat 'feel' of any mmo going in terms of key responsiveness etc, but eh. Onto other things.

Same here. 2006-2008 were WoW-crack years for me (even worse with Achievement hunting). Quit some time after WotLK came out. I now prefer to play games I can walk away from without fearing I'm missing out on something or getting out-geared for a given raid/pvp map.

Tried SW:TOR, but got that same feeling again. Great single-player storylines, but not worth a monthly sub if I don't want to raid.

I used to be a MMO junky... now I just play League of Legends because each game is 40 minutes or less and self contained, but still has all the RPG elements. Well, for those who like pvp.
