My BIL is running a flag-football team with his 5 year old son. It's like 6-man stuff, you watch the video and half the kids on D are picking grass blades when the ball is snapped; not exactly serious business out there. They had their first game the other day, and at one point ran a counter run. Apparently the opposing coach just about lost his shiat, complaining about BIL running "trick plays".

God I hate the name Jayden. Or any name that rhymes with it.

Cody Paul.

Be a shame to waste that kind of talent on the Colts.

I coach Midget League football here.

Watch the ball.
Tackle the guy with the ball.
The guy with the ball is Anakin/Voldemort just before he kills all the children.
Tackle the guy with the ball.

Let's assume the kid is terrific, High School All-State and wins the Heisman trophy in his junior at Enormous State University, skips his senior year and turns pro. I think I can say with pretty high degree of confidence that the number one pick in the draft will be the Browns and the kid have a career ending injury in his first pre-season game - after appearing on the cover of Madden 26 of course.

Not so much great running as poor tackling.

Some funny comments on the article:

Wait, that wasn't NFL Blitz being run in Big-Head mode?

An 8-year-old named Jayden? That narrows it down.

You mean The Most Winning Team in a Decade Indianapolis Colts?

Funny you should mention that as I'm currently coaching a team of 7-8 year-olds and we have a Kayden and a Hayden on our team. I can't keep them straight.

I mean the team that averaged less than 4 ypc for three years in a row after Edgerrin James left. I'm actually a little shocked that they actually hit 4.0 last year, but I guess nobody was defending the run in the 4th quarter.

8-year-olds shouldn't be playing tackle football

I don't think it's a coincidence that the opposing team looks like they're wearing Raiders uniforms.

So they let him run it on the Raiders, big deal. Now let's see him do it against some eight year olds.
