Do 18 year old kids even know what SMB for the Nintendo was? I was talking one and casually mentioned Daria and she had no clue what I was going on about. I have to imagine Super Mario World is the younger crew's first Mario experience, maybe Mario 64.

/actually liked Mario 2, first game I ever beat

That style works so friggin well. And I also agree with you, Mario 2 was great. Most people lambast it for not being a true mario game, but it was still pretty great in my opinion.
