Jeezus Christ. There needs to be a nationwide purge of college football programs. I'm just nauseous at how they were used to propagate this.

Colleges involved need to have their football program suspended for a couple seasons at the very least.

Real justice would be everyone who ever covered up for Sandusky or looked the other way also going to jail. Until enablers are dealt with -- harshly -- nothing will stop.

Quantum Apostrophe: How many times do I need to repeat this? What's the frequency of hockey scandals compared to the general population? You have to dig back for decades to get anything for hockey.

The key word in your original post was "never," as in "Strange, I never hear about abuse in baseball or hockey."

I never made (and do not now make) any statement as to which sport is more rapey.

So calm down and come on down off of your high horse.

flynn80: Still nothing new on the DA who pulled a Houdini?

Decleared dead last year. I posted a piece I pulled off the web. Apparently just before he disappeared, someone searched on his home PC on the web for ways to destroy a hard drive and waterlogging a laptop. Coincidentally, when they found his laptop in the river, the hard drive was missing.

As for how high this goes...it's obvious it's VERY high, and that 1994 Discovery channel documentary is very interesting.

I was talking to one of my staffers about this a little while ago. Don't be surprised to hear about Sandusky getting got in prison if these government officials that are involved in said ring start worrying he might give up some names.

Close....

Conspiracy of Silence, a documentary listed for viewing in TV Guide Magazine was to be aired on the Discovery Channel, on May 3, 1994. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies.

Here is the full documentary:

rhondajeremy: No sex scandals in hockey!!??!! Methinks Sheldon Kennedy & Theon Fleury would like to have a word with you.

//it's naive to think this is confined to football

With football, it seems like it's a prerequisite to get your ass pounded by a bunch of out of shape middle-aged closet cases.

Yeah, I'm pretty much farked

I interpret that look as " Heh, I'll just go along with this and wait for my buddies to get me out."

No. Like most of his kind of sex abusers, he has no grasp that was he's done is wrong. He doesn't understand how you and I feel about it. That's why he's sick enough to do it in the first place.

This case has really challenged my longstanding belief against the death penalty. This is ridiculously incurable, and it really is better for everyone if we just put him down like a rabid dog.

For starters, they should be auditing The Second Mile and following the money trail in and out of Penn State.

They need to reopen Ray Gricar's "suicide" case

They need to start asking questions about Joe Paterno's finances.

Sadly none of this is going to happen. They have their goat, admittedly a really guilty one, and thats that, done and dusted. Lone Gunman.

Quantum Apostrophe: Strange, I never hear about abuse in baseball or hockey... Every year there's some sort of ritual hazing in one of our university's football teams. We get it, you're gay and like dressing in tight pants with other men, but want to pretend you're straight. The stress must be ridiculous. And why is it always the most ridiculous-looking out-of-shape middle-aged porky men are football coaches? They just LOOK like they'd be into ANYTHING except sport!!

Well, I'm pretty sure he's going to sing like a canary after a few instances of prison rape severe enough to warrant stitches. . . Unless an enterprising prisoner agrees to take someone's murder for hire.

I can see that happening.

Well, if this is going to expose some pretty important people then this is the only way to avoid it. Those important people raped kids so I'm pretty sure their moral compass allows for murdedr.

the letter

1977-1980 I was a child prostitute associated with a tri-state (NYC-NJ-PA) pedophile ring that included Phil Foglietta, Ed Savitz, Lawrence Scott Ward, Bill Conlin, Sam Rappaport & Jerry Sandusky. Summer of 1979 I was brought to the State College PA area by Ed Savitz for the purpose of child prostitution with Jerry Sandusky at a Second Mile fundraiser, due to time constraints Sandusky became unavailable and I was introduced to Phil Foglietta by Ed Savitz & Jerry Sandusky, "Foglietta was introduced to us as Coach Phil who coached youth football in NYC.

Foglietta agreed to pay $200.00 for child sex and followed us back to a Philadelphia hotel from the State College area, myself ad another child prostitute then engaged coach Phil in child sex. Previously knowing his name I had recognized Coach Phil from previous 1978-1979 times while I was a runaway youth hanging in the NYC Times Square red light porn district, Coach Phil would ask runaway adolescent boys if they wanted to make a few extra $$ to go into a peep show viewing booth with him and watch a porn movie and engage in oral sex.

I am currently cooperating with a federal investigation involving the FBI & US Postal Inspectors regarding the Jerry Sandusky pedophile ring and child pornography which also now includes Phil Foglietta.

Unfortunately, I suspect that you're right. Sexual exploitation of children is an extremely tight-knit circle and the kingpins successfully hide behind layers of protection.

Sandusky isn't bright enough to orchestrate a network like this on his own. He's the scapegoat for a large ring of people IMHO. He's always had the attitude that he would get off (heh) on these charges, as if he's waiting for his friends to bail him out. This is all just coming to a head.
