It's about time someone make a movie or TV show about vampires. Their story needs to be told.

If you're a fan of Del Toro, I highly recommend listening to the director's commentary on Hellboy 2. Hilarious and insightful.

"Okay so here, in the throne room of the Elven Prince, the walls and pipes were just encrusted with lead and asbestos, so if you touched one, you'd pretty much get ass cancer instantly."

I get tge sentiment, but what generalized subject hasn't been covered ad nauseum?

Families?
Cops?
Insert folks doing job x?
Aliens?

A well written show can pick vampire or aliens, future or past, and tell a gripping story regardless of the trappings.

Alien. Vampire. Whales.
