He's jacked from constructing all those elaborate sets for Burning Man.

He's so jacked that detox would kill him

He looks happy. I'm glad he doesn't have a guilty conscience

There was no part of that album that was unlistenable. Outside of Wanted:Dead or Alive by Kool G Rap and DJ Polo, this is my favorite rap album from front to back.

I just came in here to say that his headphones suck, and are only good if you like ALL of your already over -compressed music to sound even MORE compressed.

Back in the early 2000s. I want to say 2002? Dre showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards looking like this:

4.bp.blogspot.com

No, that's not Photoshop.

There was a collective gasp across America and a minute of silence as people stood in awe.

All I know it's the last MTV VMA I ever saw, so the memory is still vivid.

That is a strange line to me. If he's dead why would he needed to be locked in a basement?

Your Zionist Leader: colimar: I thought he was dead and locked in Eminem's basement

That is a strange line to me. If he's dead why would he needed to be locked in a basement?

He got locked in the basement, THEN he died. Also, Eminem may have cleaned his closet, but he sure as hell forgot about Dre in his basement.

There's got to be a joke about Ice Cube jackin' for beats, but I'll be damned if I can come up with it.

While I don't disagree that The Chronic was a landmark album, and produced some of the best songs the genre offers, I would argue that his production work on Snoop's Doggystyle surpassed it.

I hope he never releases a new album, he should keep finding new talent, producing other people's albums, and let us remember how great his rap was not how bad his new album is.

I agree with this actually. Also if you go back and listen to both records front to back Doggystyle is way more timeless. Chronic has some A+ songs on it for sure, but it just feels more dated when listening to it. I can't quite put my finger on it.

J.D.: What does "Still hittin' them corners and them ho-ho's, girl" mean?
Turk: Many disadvantaged African-Americans have limited nutritional choices, therefore they must subsist on Ho-Ho snack cakes. It's a black thing, brah.

Rap music isn't music.

It's depression chanting for the lower class of society - meant for those trapped in menial service jobs.

It attempts to give hope to the hopeless and fails to do so in grand fashion.

I actually rememer the World Class Wreckin' Cru being kinda popular in the early-mid-80's, quite a while before N.W.A. Of course the name Dr.Dre didn't mean anything at the time, not sure if he was using it then.

keepitcherry: Yea that's what tends to happen when you start using steroids.

Then why didn't it happen to his legs?
