the place I live in has 2.5 times as much crime, 3 times as much murdering, a hell of a lot more armed robbery and burglary, and I keep all my expensive and desirable possessions in a garage outside with a $15 master lock on it and show them off to people passing by.

Eh it's not that bad. I'll buy up a few of the empty houses and lots in my neighborhood and demolish/rebuild/spruce up the place. The neighbors are decent.

I make $65k and I only need $5k/year to get by. May as well add a fresh coat of paint to the neighborhood.

I've been working in Baltimore for about 2 months now. There's like a 2 block buffer zone around the harbor where it can be nice, and it all turns to hell a block or so later. The people are even ruder than they are in DC and almost everyone is incredibly lazy.

To give an idea how lazy... I needed to wait for a cable appointment one day and when the Comcast dude showed up (an hour late) it turns out he was being lent to Baltimore Comcast from DETROIT Comcast. When I asked why they shipped him all the way out here just to install cable he replied pretty much verbatim, "Cause they is LAZY out here. I 'ain't never seen nothing like it."

Baltimore is a shiathole. We should burn it to the ground and start over.

I worked there for three years, lived in Columbia. Anytime something happened that was just plain lazy or stupid, we'd say "that's so Baltimore" Still use the phrase.

Dundalk's a suburb in SE Baltimore County, just outside the city limits.
