If anyone hasn't seen The Cabin in the Woods, Whitford pretty much made that movie.

/He pretty much looks the same in the movie

The Banana Thug: The final two seasons were just as good as the Sorkin ones.

Nooooooooooooooo,,,

I liked it. The campaign structure and new cast were excellent. It was a different show, but a good one. The only downside was that it didn't handle the old characters in the White House at all well. (I'm still ticked about Toby.)

Not AS good, but worthwhile.

Season Five is the only really bad season. I mean, daaaaamn

Season 5 has its moments but overall not too good. And yes... Not sure who they were writing for but it wasn't Toby. His character suffered the most post Sorkin.

GAT_00: How is it that Whitford looks that much older?

Came here to ask that. Prez was white-haired, and Toby was a bit older, but man did Josh not age well.

Mr. Cat Poop: GAT_00: How is it that Whitford looks that much older?

He's still a movie star handsome Louis C.K.

"Check the message boards". Ah that Aaron Sorkin sure did love to fark the TWOP chicken.

Oh wow, I didn't even catch that. Amazing.

pivazena: Martin Sheen's gone snowy white, though.

Having Charlie Sheen for a son would do that.

Better than Clint Eastwood and his chair

Only Josh has aged.

That was good but didn't have half the cast this does

DammitIForgotMyLogin: Ok, that's a pretty damned good political advert

Did Josh cover McCormack's secret plan to fight inflation?

Finally just watched this one... Wouldn't load on the phone.

Excellent! (Loved the Bartlett jacket dodge)

Of course not. He doesn't support it.

Am I the only one that wants to nail Allison Janney? Even as she gets older and wrinklier, she is just sexy as hell.

Via Infinito: theknuckler_33: That's pretty cool. Good on 'em.

/sad to say, I never watched that show

Cyclometh: I was chuckling, but then he said "Oh, it's an APOCALYPSE now?" and I just lost it.

Farking brilliant. Never saw an episode of the West Wing- don't watch any TV- but I might have to make an exception of the show was that tightly written.

I am in the same boat, and was looking for WW on Netflix streaming yesterday. Of course, it wasn't on there. I ended up just buying the complete series (all 7 seasons in one box) on Amazon for $140 last night. I can't wait for it to arrive.

You have chosen....wisely.

I paid $70 for mine, but given how many times I watched it I could have laid down more than $140 and it still would have been worth it, season 5 nonwithstanding.

Eh... could have paid for a year of amazon prime ($80) and been able to stream the whole season, plus lots of other shows

I took a look and wasn't impressed. I guess I've been spoiled by the Netflix media player.

The DVDs have lots of extra stuff... You were right to buy them. Mine are so worn I'm considering a back up! ;)

Just to give you a preview, this campaign ad was rather poorly executed, in comparison with the actual show. I noticed several verbal and script-writing stumbles. That's not to say that the ad was bad, the show just really is that good. Watch it. I'd repeal the 22nd amendment for another 3-4 seasons. (Each season corresponds to approximately a year, but they got through 8 years in 7 seasons).

Na. They start the series in Year 2 of the Bartlett administration. You only see Year 1 in flashback.

I think we should petition the fark mods to have west wing threads all day every day on the politics tab instead of actual election news. It would make me a far happier person. At the very least they should do it for april fool's day next year.

ignatius_crumbcake: DamnYankees: I do wish this ad had Sam and Leo, though.

There's probably a better chance of reanimating John Spencer's corpse than there is of getting Rob Lowe to do something cool for free.

I'm pretty sure he had that sex tape threesome with the 22 and the 16 year old for free and that was pretty cool.

Martin Sheen was the main character in Apocalypse Now.
