What is it with Brits always trying to find a way to cut the US down?

You fell from the largest empire in history to a high-level client state of one of your old colonies. That's on you, not us.

You'd constantly have to type "colour" and "labour" and crap.

Okay, Brits, I want to know how many sheets of paper and how much ink you guys have wasted by typing that extra "u" for no apparent reason all of these years. Yeah, it's one extra letter per word, but that shiat begins to add up, and when you throw in the Canucks and Ausssies and India (especially India), you're wasting a bunch of resources on one freakin' letter that doesn't need to be there.

My little cousin who just married a Brit and moved to the UK apparently gets razed all the time for being an American. That most Americans are just fat and stupid. Then as soon as she brings up the stats that of all the European nations that England is the fattest they just huff and try calling her a cow or something. At least that's what she told us.

I don't know about that, but back in '90 my wife and I took the nighttime double decker tour of London. Also on the bus was an attractive and successful family from what sounded like Texas (just a guess) taking the tour with a cousin who had obviously grown up in England. she sat there politely pointing out the sites while here american family literally jumped on the seats and ran up and down the aisle. She was mortified!

Then again you did send over some fat and obnoxious tourist examples which for while we're are only point of reference.

Probably not. The US might have racism but it's nowhere near as bad as it is in Europe. Entire stadiums of fans will shout racial slurs at soccer players to the point where they refuse to play, something that would get your ass banned from a venue for life in the US. Such things tend to happen in places where there's no such thing as black people.

I was in a pub last Saturday night, and drank a few, and noticed two very large women by the bar.

They both had pretty strong accents, so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Ireland?"

One of them chirped saying, "It's WALES, you friggin' idiot!"

So, I immediately apologized and said, "I'm sorry, are you two whales from Ireland ?" That's pretty much the last thing I remember.

If all else fails, yes, though I would argue a culture of both parents cooking would set a better example to one's kids. France and Italy bucked the trend due to a cultural quirk. If you don't cook, you're simply not French or Italian. It's being Colombian or Venezuelan and not knowing how to dance.
