I have never watched The West Wing and I'm starting to think that's a damned shame.

I just started watching on AmazonPrime (and they need a better media player.) I didn't catch on to the original run until about the third season. Damn this was good stuff.

DAMMIT NETFLIX! I can watch Vampire Diaries and Ancient f*cking Aliens but The West Wing isn't streaming? I guess I'll look into the Amazon thing. *sigh*

The Amazon thing costs $80 a year. But in addition to free streaming videos of TV and movies, you get free shipping on all things marked "Prime." You can save a shiat ton of money. But the media player is small. You can expand it to take up the whole screen, but then the sound is out of sync. That has been my experience.

I also have NetFlix streaming, which is much better, but as you said, it is missing West Wing and a few other choice things I'd like.

I'll definitely look into it. Apparently The West Wing was a Sorkin brainchild just like The Newroom (which was freaking EXCELLENT) so I WILL be making this happen one way or the other.

Obama could really learn how to govern from Bartlet. Campaign Bartlet and Campaign Obama are good, but Governing Obama sucks.

Especially since the first two seasons are the best. Well, my favorite is still "The Supremes" in the 5th seasons, but that's me. It really drops off in the 6th season, but once the campaigns start it gets good again.

We have a sony Blueray player that has internet capabilities- it has Amazon instant video on it. So we can watch it on our 58" plasma.

If you have Xbox 360 Live Gold membership, you can also see Amazon Prime unlimited streaming.

That's President Bartlett or Governing President Bartlett. If you don't respect the person at lease have some respect for the make-believe office he holds.

Campaign Obama can say what he wants to get done.

Governing Obama has to deal with a farkass opposition in Congress who's stated farking goal was not to govern, but to assure he doesn't get reelected. In other words, reality.

I use my PS3 to stream Prime videos. Full screen by default, and never had any sync issues.

I'm going to watch the entire series based on 20-30 second clips posted to Fark from time to time. I'm half way through it now.

That's because Governing Bartlett quotes Dear Abby when homophobic Christian talkshow host stays seated eating shrimp when he enters a room. Governing Obama would invite her to have a beer.

You can watch Amazon Prime on Xbox as well, it seems to do okay there, but the interface isn't as good at Netflix's.

Have they done something to make their interface useable in a way that acknowledges that people are trying to use Prime as an alternative to Netflex streaming?

I am itching to drop Netflix, but when I tried Amazon's thing about 6 months ago it was not really... good.
