Only until the group stage where they'll be KOed by Juve or Shaktar.

/They should be thankful Atletico didn't qualify
//Falcao would've tore them a new one...again.

Goddamn German TV. They're showing one game from each matchday featuring a German team on free TV. They're showing Bayern 3 out of the 6 times. It's possible that the 2-time defending Bundesliga champions might only have one game aired (since ZDF already said they're showing the Dortmund-RM match). I'm not going to pay Sky ridiculous amounts of money for the package either.

Watching the Bayern game, but I admit I sort of want to watch Chelsea vs. Juventus just because I expect Andrea Pirlo to devour Chelsea's midfield, and that thought pleases me.

It's almost like DFB-Pokal then, innit? They'll show MCity vs. Dortmund on October 3rd, though. After that we'll get to see Bayern vs. Lille and Borisov. Really.

Canadians - due to the Blue Jays playing their makeup game this afternoon on Sportsnet One, the Barcelona/Spartak Moscow match is instead airing on FXCanada. Just in case you were looking for it. Chelsea/Juve on regular Sportsnet, Manchester United/Galatasaray on Sportsnet World.

Backup streams are better for me than primary streams at the moment. I've got Chelsea on the third link

Get ready everyone, Carrick actually scored! He could have given the keeper a red, but instead wanted the goal. Crazy. Galatassary not out of it either.

If it makes you feel better, tonight I have Che v Juve in Czech and Slovak, Bayern v Valencia in Czech and German. 4 channels showing two matches. On a good CL night I'll have 3 or even 4 different matches.

But yeah, Sky sucks.

2012-09-19 03:16:44 PM
Own goal against Barci? Anyone watching that one?

Valencia has parked the bus. The whole game has been played in front of their goal, but nothing has happened yet.

goal Chelsea, and another before I could type this....holy smokes

Oscar nets one to put Chelsea up 1-0 over Juve. Right-footed shot from outside the box; goalie looked slow to react, maybe he didn't see it right away.

HOLY SHIAT he just scored again as I was writing this.

2012-09-19 03:19:44 PM
Holy shiat! Oscar!

Is it worth putting the $ in there when they are playing a club like Juventus?

2012-09-19 03:21:51 PM
The first one from Oscar was a good effort but ultimately a bit lucky with the deflection. The second was absolutely world class though, wow.

$159 a year. i think it's $169 a year now (you get a $10 early bird discount if you buy in august). every ucl match, the europe league matches, most of the epl, fa cup matches, carling cup (or whatever the fark it's called this year), and a slew of spl matches as well. and some rugby and aussie rules footy thrown in to boot. live, and on demand, usually for a week.

it is absolutely well worth it.

I'm completely geo-blocked so I can't research it myself - can you buy individual games or day passes? And do you have to have fox soccer on your regular cable package?

Now That's What I Call a Taco!: Goal Juve. But injured on the play?

He rolled his ankle like 10 min. ago. Vidal sometimes seems like a bit of an actor to me but they showed it he really did roll his right ankle after stretching out to make a pass and then landing on it funny. Either way though the guy pulls out some crazy goals for a holding midfield player.

no worries mate.

one disclaimer: sometimes there are literally too many matches to keep up with. for example, yesterday and today all 16 ucl matches are/were streamed/archived, and there are 12 europa league matches tomorrow. that, and i find myself missing a lot of the weekend footy threads, because i don't want match results spoiled.

2012-09-19 03:37:31 PM
socalnewwaver:
1. no
2. nope.

Ok. Thanks.
