Houston Texas and 3 high school teams quarterbacked by Andrew Luck in his rookie season, Blaine Gabbert and Jake Locker in their 2nd gee I wonder who will win that division and celebrate it like they won the superbowl again.

Cleveland looked a 100x more fun to watch in week 2 than the Titans. I know...it's just one week however, at least CLE fans can look forward to Richardson

The Texans have never won the Superbowl. They won the AFC Championship in 1961, but never a Superbowl.

Yeah they can look forward to him getting a staph infection.

GAT_00: We were going to go 0-4 no matter what to start the year with Locker starting. Those are nasty games for him to start. CJ needs to lose his job NOW though. Locker has no hope of succeeding without a running game and he has apparently lost all of his skill. And don't just bench him, cut him. He doesn't deserve another cent.

I'll never understand people who demand rookies win immediately. The pro game is a far cry from the college game. Locker probably should've ridden the bench for another season, getting in more and more often late next season. He's going to be just fine. Anyone expecting instant results is a farking moron. I'm looking at you, subtard.

FLAT FOR MATT!

The Dolphins had suck for luck and then Matt Moore won 6 games or something after they went 0-7 to start. Then they got Tannehill so we will see how that works out.

Matt was thinking "I'm not going to lay down just so the team can draft some punk hot shot kid to take my starting spot".

Oops.

Also, thank god I didnt draft CJ this year. I had him last year and he almost sunk me (thank god for reggie bush). He has 6 more yards than Fred Jackson and his 15 yds and his being out 4-6 weeks or so and Spiller doing great. I chose poorly again...sigh

I felt bad for Matt after the way he played in the second half of last year. I know why the Dolphins had to draft a QB, any QB in the first round. Cause they have had a 100 QB's since Marino. Whar Marino Whar? The fans are sick of shiat QBs. Pennington was the best they've had since Marino and he promptly got hurt after their division winning season.

mc_madness: Jake Locker is gonna destroy Detroit Sunday.

Detroit's defensive front is overrated, their linebackers weak and their secondary shiat.

Miami is always stuck in a bad spot. They suck every year, but never quite enough to get the good QB picks.

Win what? It's been ten years since a team won a Super Bowl without a great QB.

it also took about 10 years for Brees to be a great QB

puffy999: As someone from the PNW, I'm f*cking tired of hearing about Jake Locker. By his senior year at Washington, he still wasn't all that spectacular. Carson Palmer had similar issues with coaching staff changes at USC, but he won the f*cking HEISMAN as a Senior. MATT FREAKING MOORE was better by the end of his senior season (albeit a different year) than Jake Locker was (and he's a better NFL quarterback).

Jake Locker is a very, very poor man's Michael Vick, just bigger and slower and with a weaker arm and less athletic. He's smarter than Vick, but so is a table.

As a UW fan, let me offer a hearty "THIS." The Locker era was painful and mostly disappointing. The team improved when Locker finally graduated and the team upgraded to David Price. Locker did improve from his sophomore to junior year (the year Sark took over), which is what prompted all the speculation that he was making The Leap and could be the #1 overall pick. But his senior season was a huge setback, and he never did get over his habit of overthrowing wide-open receivers by 10 yards. (And if his receivers couldn't get wide-open, like in the two Nebraska games, the passing game was shut down completely.)

In what metrics do you consider Ben Roethlisberger to be "great"?

Serious question. He's solid, he can escape a rush, he's hard to bring down... but he makes a living off checkdowns and taking what's offered to him. I like Big Ben (minus, y'know, the rapey stuff), but he makes a living off of not forcing it (again, minus the rapey stuff) and has two rings.

man this team just isn't competitive anywhere except maybe special teams, it's got nothing to do with Jake Locker, not even sure if it has anything to do with CJ so much as his big contract makes him a big problem when he doesn't produce... if not for that contract i doubt anybody would point to him to rest our offense on

i mean c'mon man! get some first downs, make the other team go 3-and-out, sulk on the sideline and get angry, just do something!

They had the #1 pick in the 2008 draft and spent it on Jake Long (who's a great tackle) but they could have drafted Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco, both of whom are better than Tannehill or Moore

It's not every day a college team upgrades significantly at QB by replacing a top 10 NFL draft pick with a redshirt sophomore.

Locker was mediocre in college because he's a terrible decision maker and inaccurate passer. That's a recipe for disaster in the NFL.

No charges were filed and Ben's been married since July 2011 with no incidents.
So unless you are a fan of one of those teams that Ben has kicked the shiat out of regularly, no need to drag out the false "rapey" accusations.

Roethlisberger is tops among active QBs in yards per completion and second among active QBs in yards per attempt. The knock on him is that he holds on to the ball too long. So, checking down and "taking what the defense gives him" seems about 180 degrees off as a description of how he plays.

This, plus he has one of 13 500+ yard passing games in NFL history and is the second fastest (by attempts) to reach 25,000 passing yards. He is no checkdown QB.

Give the guy a break. It's only been two games. He isn't Peyton Manning. He isn't a one man team. I remember when the Titans first came to Tennessee they struck fear in the hearts of other teams. Now they just strike laughter. It's a shame, really. They should have had it all in '08, but they choked worse than The Colts in that Ravens game. I haven't had the heart to watch since then. To think, that was the year my mother died, and the only reason I started watching football in the first place was because of her. I thought "Isn't this something, Mama, the first year you can't watch them and they're going to win the Superbowl." Hahaha, trick. Yet still I could hear her cursing at the television and saying "well, buddy, if this ain't a sight." Maybe this year will be a good sight. Wouldn't a comeback be grand? Then again, in order to have a comeback you have to lose more than two games. The season just started.
