That's a thing that Mitt Romney will never understand much less practice.

While I agree with his statement, I will say that many people, and especially some members of congress, have been engaging in activities that I would say make them unpatriotic, due to their disagreement with the President, i.e. the credit downgrade debacle.

Yeah, but putting petty politics above the national welfare was the unpatriotic part, not the disagreeing with the President part. Plenty of people on both sides of the aisle disagree with the President on all manner of issues, we just haven't had a highly visible Republican do so without screaming like a baby since McCain's run for President.

//And even then he also nominated Mrs. Palin, who was probably the worst crybaby in that race. To the point McCain was visibly uncomfortable around her as well.

True, but this could be throwing it back in the right's face during Bush's terms where the right was throwing around 'unpatriotic' every time someone remotely disagreed with them.

RobMe needs to take political speaking lessons from Obama. We have over here the challenger, who insults have the country and claims he doesn't have to worry about them because they "don't pay income taxes" and feel "entitled" to such basic items as shelter and food. Then you've got the President, who manages to slice RobMe into little bloody shreds with an honest "as President you have to work with everyone and treat them with respect" statement.

Obama: "We all make mistakes."

Exactly, this is what I was trying to say. Its not unpatriotic to disagree, but when you're disagreement becomes so fervent that you are willing to sabotage the health of our nation just to stick it to the President, we have some serious issues.

No, it's not. First of all, I'm not the president, I don't work for his campaign and I'm not an elected official of the Democratic party. Nor am i a registered Democrat.

Secondly, I didn't say "turn down the hurtful rhetoric". I simply made an observation about how Obama's response's are general pretty considerate and seem to be fairly genuine.

I apologize for my metaphor using dogs. How about this, "...while the Republicans get on national broadcasts and continue to yell and lie. These lies are exposed and they double down and spew more lies about the president. These lies are exposed,...". Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Hence the sociopath comment.

Better?

And the thing is, it doesn't work...

I live in Nevada which has become one of the battleground states thanks in part to our large teabagger base versus the sane ones who work for a living.

So all I see is bullshiat flung at the screen by Rove's crossroads gps pac, heller's campaign, and romney's campaign.

The outright lies are sickening, but the general population doesn't know they're lies or distortions if they don't research these things.

When you counter someone saying they only want to work for those paying income tax (which is odd since he'd abandon so many donors...) with 'well he done goofed, only human' instead of 'Will you look at this guy, Seriously just look at this guy, he actually SAID this... Why would you vote for someone who doesn't want to work for you when that's his JOB?' IT DOESN'T SWAY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

Your base appreciates the class, but the undecided voters don't care how classy you are, they just belive the spin and lies they see while eating their cheerios...

Actually, if you had been paying attention, the Senate hasn't passed a budget in over 3 years (April 2009). Easier to hide all the spending increases from the American people.

Putting the people that ran up 5 trillion in debt during a housing boom back in power is your answer to deficit spending during a recession? Sounds pretty retarded if you ask me.
