EbolaNYC: How to reheat steak.

Everyone has tried this and screwed it up. I had an idea one day... When have you ever had a HOT steak? They're never hot, they're warm, so just warm it up enough to make soft and pleasant. Here's how I do it, and I have had great success with this method:

Pre-heat a pan on low,put your steak into the pan and put a cover on it, check it every 5 minutes until it's warmed up in the middle. It'll probably take 10 minutes total. If it's sizzling, it's too hot, you want to gently warm it through.

NEVER PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE!!! You will ruin it every time, so take a couple extra minutes.

Exactly! I just toss a square of foil over the pan, rather than a tight cover. Again, if you only cooked it to rare the first time, you can reheat it this way and it's still just medium rare.

Had leftover ribeye steak tonight actually. Roasted some cherry tomatoes in olive oil and S&P while the steak came up to room temperature, took them out of the oven and just let the sliced steak warm up over the tomatoes. Then sprinkled it all with crumbled blue cheese. Yum

I hate to waste beef. The list pretty much sums up things I'll do with left over meat. Lipton Noodles are my friend. Beef in Stroganoff, Chicken in Parmesan, Tuna or Ham in Butter and Herb. Cheap and easy.
