Why not all three?

You know, I always was suspicious of that lavender scent mom had near the tub.

So this is what you have to do to not get paid administrative leave.

I was thinking the same thing. First time in recent memory that a cop went completely berserk like this and didn't get a paid vacation out of it.

And, if the woman had tried to defend herself, she'd be facing prison time for assaulting a cop.

True enough.

"and/or" would be more appropriate.

Stop messing with the space-time continuum! In order for him to be psychotic, only HE can believe his delusions. If you believe them, you become ...a verifier.
We've always heard Einstein's definition of insanity, but he was pretty rational for a genius.
Now for Drummond's experiential 100% Nobel-Free definition of insanity:
If you're the only sane person in the room, and that room is not psych, you're really the crazy one! (Been there, done that!)

Lee was taken to the Crisis Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he remains. He has been suspended without pay from the police department. Lee was on-duty at the time of the incident.

You mean to say he's NOT on "Administrative leave with full pay" while the cop lawyers find ways to keep delaying a trial with legal obstructions while his fellow officers close ranks to provide more obstacles to investigations?

Hell has indeed frozen over.

He was in uniform?

Outside the state of Illinois, you would be charged with murder of a police officer if you shot him trying to defend yourself.

In fact, we should press for the caretaker to be charged with assaulting a police officer.

I bet it is actually his kid and something else caused him to snap.

I never feel for the old POPO but something went wrong in his head and I feel really bad for him and all the victims involved.

HIPAA

While he was being transported, Lee allegedly kicked out a rear window of a patrol car and escaped. Officers chased him down and took him back into custody after a struggle, the prosecutor's office said.

Impressive!

The question that comes to mind for me is this.

Had the homeowner/resident owned a gun and fired at the officer, killing them, would the prosecutor try to fry them?

If I were in the same situation as the residents, I would have believed my life to be in danger. Seeing a cop kick your door down, assault your wheelchair ridden wife, assault your 4 year old grandson, then strip his uniform (complete with loaded service weapon) off..... yyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, I would have been fearing for my life, you bet your sweet ass.

Thankfully, he didn't kill anyone. But damn.

burst into the apartment..."Then he grabbed my grandchild," he said. The officer said, "I want the boy, I want the boy.'"...He took his clothes off, gun, uniform, and pants, and tried to jump out the window...kicked out a rear window of a patrol car and escaped

It appears like someone dosed him, or he took a laced batch of weed from a traffic stop.

One more reason to legalize pot. I think we would all rather deal with a stoned cop rather than one on PCP.
