Really? I was thinking that fathers that product place Apple products deserve to have their families wiped out.

Looks creepy to me. I always need a couple new films every year around this time to properly get me in the Halloween mood, this looks like it'll do nicely.

Trick R Treat is still my current fav Halloween flick for awhile anyway.

It's good, but IMHO, nothing can top the original "Halloween".

Okay, i legit lost it at naked girl from the box of tapes. Everything else was pretty tame, but that has farked up all over it. That said, I'm betting twist ending, the protagonist did it.

The problem I have with the original Halloween, and also The Exorcist, is I've seen so many parodies of them by now that the actual movies have lost their ability to scare me. It's not the fault of the movies of course, just pop culture ruining them with years and years of jokes. Hannibal Lector has the same problem too. I can't watch Michael Myers without giggling a little.

Sadly, my ex-wife ruined horror movies when she told me what her grand mother told her once when she was little, watching a scary movie and she commented on the chase scene. "All I see is the man with the camera chasing her" (her g-mom said). That little nugget has stuck in my craw and ruined my ability to immerse myself in a good horror movie. That biatch!
Movie does look sufficiently creepy though, I hope I can get a good thrill out of it, I miss a good horror flick.

That's the part that made me jump.

The only thing I don't like is that the killer/demon/whatever looks just like a Halloween mask that's been in circulation for at least a decade....

That's been done so many times it doesn't even count as a twist ending any more.

I'm just sick of ghost stories with the quick edit, sped up, quick chop film scare.
Making things jittery and in fast forward doesn't scary make.

Let's hope that was mainly just for the trailer. Maybe they did that because they had enough sense not to give the whole damn movie away for once.

No way that branch could lift four people hanging from ropes.

Thanks, much. Is this like that movie the Ring where if you pass on the horrible event to others you'll be alleviated it from the misery? I'm going to try to forget this before I watch the next horror movie.

You are now breathing manually and keenly aware of your tongue in your mouth.

Pass it along.

Those 4 people couldn't have been more than 400 pounds or so and that was a pretty big tree limb.

We could go back to the days where directors confused "startling" people with "scaring" them. Oh, another cat jumped out from behind a curtain, eh? *yawn*

I must be jaded. That wasn't scary. Standard "static image moving", pop-out "scares" and "WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?" cliches.

Still looks interesting though. I'm always game for a twisted supernatural mystery.

Who stands in front of a movie projector to get night blinded?

Yeah, I was bothered by that. I get the impression that this movie tries too hard and will fall flat.

Haunted film projector?

Awesome,
I'm totally going to see that.

//I'm a film degree holder, who still projects film out my front window onto the building across the street on a regular basis.

Watch The Love Guru. You'll never laugh at Myers again.

/but oh, how you will scream. Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell...
