I'm in at 248 and am getting really nervous but you're right. Damn.

Had a small chunk at about that price, and bought another chunk a few weeks ago at $618. Will it hit $1,000? I don't know if I have the stomach to see.

I wanted so badly to buy stock at $13 a share back in the day, but I was fresh out of college and had no money.

Oh well.

So overpriced, and it doesn't even work with 90% of the portfolios out there!

I'm considering call spreads. Right now you can do the November '12 700/715 bull spread for about $750 max loss, $750 max gain.
Getting nervous holding the stock

A lot of this is psychological, with a high individual-share price. I wonder if they'd have a higher valuation now if they'd split the stock one or twice in the last decade.

Do you have to almost pre-order this almost iPhone you speak of?

I remember looking at AAPL at $78 and thinking, "Too much."

Got me some at an average of 203, but I'm sure I didn't have the guts back then to buy as many shares as you guys might have. I'm seriously wondering how long to ride this one, too... I've heard doomsayers worried about the stock market coming into the fall, but who knows? All I've heard about AAPL is that insiders haven't been buying much over the last year.

I was given ten shares back in 2002 as an 8th grade graduation gift from my parents ... Purchase price: $11.65 ... a $116 gift that is now worth over $7000 ... god damn, maybe I should sell. The laws of growing returns I think are over for me.
