As a Gunner I'm obligated to hate on Tottenham, but you guys got screwed last year. Spurs earned a CL spot and Bayern choked the game away. Fair play to Chelsea, I suppose, but that sucks.

As much as I eagerly await Arsenal's game today, I'm looking forward to Man City next. They've looked shaky and an on-song Arsenal side is not the right opponent to face in the league.

I'll be in prenatal class with a pregnant wife (mine). Enjoy the matches!

I'd say check out the Real Madrid/Manchester City one. Both of them won their respective leagues (La Liga/Premier League) last year, so this is a huge matchup. Both teams have huge expectations and Real in particular is underperforming in their league right now. Both teams also have great players, but some frailties that can be exploited, so it'll be interesting to see who gets the leg up in this match.

I'm wondering if my cable company will lose its mind if I'm streaming both Montpellier/Arsenal and Real/Man City simultaneously...

SoMuchThis

It's going to be pretty damn epic. I'm still expecting a Man City upset (as much as an upset it can be to be beat by a great team.) I'm going with the unpopular bet of Dortmund and City making it through.

I'll have the volume on Madrid v City match loud enough to hear if anything good is happening, but gotta watch Milan/Anderlecht even if this young Milan squad is starting to look worrisome

Real's unperforming and City's unconvincing at this point.

All the ingredients...of a drab 0-0 draw sadly.

Prior to birth

Hope you get more value out of it than we did... my wife basically said "I think I'm going into labor" and we had a baby about 3 hours later. No time for the birth plan and the breathing exercises and all the other stuff the class covered.

/Baby just turned 1
//May have to photoshop an Arsenal shirt onto her to counter TonnageVT's pic

I'm going to have to start putting these matches in my schedule so I don't schedule appointments at the same time.

I found the prior to birth class more useful, but when it actually came down to the birthing part, NONE of it came to mind.

I've got plenty of pics of her crying for you to put that shirt on her for. :-)

I'm rooting for Man City. The fact that I'm a Dortmund fan has nothing to do with it. Really. Nope. No sir.

The problem with Arsenal is they always try to walk it in?

Oh wow. What happened?

Also, Hart is making some great saves, but City needs to start trying to move forward or they'll be dead in the water soon.

Beautiful through touch by Giroud and Podolski levels. Now a few more of those and I'll feel better

Looks like the most exciting match is one of the most boring ones :P

Malaga 2-0 Zenit

And now Gervinho!  Arsenal 2-1 Montpellier

marius2: Oh wow. What happened?

Tackle at the very edge of the box, defender got the ball but a bit too much of the attacker and the ref called the penalty. Surprising, really.

If R. Madrid v Man City gets boring (which I dont think it will) Ajax has a good history to live up to in one of the toughest places to play in Europe. Kiev v PSG is new money vs newer money. And most people will be tuning in for the PSG Lulz

Malaga 2-0 Zenit

I thought Malaga ran out of money and sold half the team that got them there.... And Beckham was going to buy some stake in them.

Of those two I would have been more worried of Zenit

I dislike both but respect them. Surprisingly I actually want them to do fairly well this year in the CL just to give the Bundesliga some more publicity.

I don't want either to win though obviously.

I don't think Germany needs more help with their coefficient.

I think making the CL gives it plenty of publicity

Beckham and Alexi Lalas.... who apparently has made a bunch of money as a co-owner of pr0n sites like brazzers.com. Who knew?

Eh, take a good look at him. I'd buy it. He's a skeevy looking motherfarker.
