I'd heard about most of those already. Too bad he doesn't seem that unusual for a Missouri Republican.

Todd Akin fondles himself to the sermons of Billy Graham.

Todd Akin plays hide the bologna with a church organ.

Todd Akin asks young boys if they like Turkish prisons, Gladiator movies... and if they've ever seen grown men naked.

Yes, he's consistent.

The problem is that Akin is just one of the symptoms of the sickness inside the Republican party. The only reason he is notable is because he opened his mouth about rape. This is what the Republicans politicians and candidates really believe, he is not an extremist he is the base line of the Republican party. Now you know why the economy is never going to get fixed unless the Republicans are defeated not just in the presidential race, but in Senate and House of Representative races also.

It is sad that there are enough people in this country that these fools keep getting re-elected.

The Republican party has literally driven most of the moderate conservatives out of their party, and adopted a party policy of theocratic fascism. The Democratic party on the other hand has literally adopted a party policy of "Talk volumes and do nothing". They literally support most of the unAmerican Governmental policies that the Republican party supports, only with 99% less Jesus.

There's literally no one to vote for.

Minor nitpick: if there are children going hungry and the government provides food from available stock then it is not "surplus food".

The problem isn't that there's nobody to vote for. The problem is that everybody who wants votes is pandering to literally the most idiotic people this country has to offer. I say we stop lending an ear to their delusions. Stop giving the crazies attention and stop making them think that their ideas have any real-world significance.

23.5% are under 18 but 6.4% are under age 5 so that leaves 17.1% of the population is school aged.
23.5% are under 18. That's 1,027,827.

650,000 school lunches? That's 63% of the kids in school getting some sort of school lunch program.

The squeakiest wheel gets the grease, as it were. Media on both sides of the fence prefers to focus on divisive issues which often don't have any significance in the long term, and chooses to ignore controversial issues which do. Meanwhile, three generations of Americans glued to their TVs eat it all up as gospel truth, and build their political opinions on a foundation of misinformation.

I think we're literally being gamed.

12.) Akin is one of the most anti-LGBT members of Congress. He co-sponsored at least five anti-equality measures in the current Congress and warned in 2006 that "anybody who knows something about the history of the human race knows that there is no civilization which has condoned homosexual marriage widely and openly that has long survived." He also added an amendment to a defense bill that would allow military chaplains and other service members to openly criticize gay and lesbian lifestyles and the presence of homosexuals in the military.

Just look at the Greek civiliztion. It lasted for less than a few minutes after they legalized gay marriage and left no permanent mark in any civilization that followed.

Imagine how many one-thousandths of an F35 we could afford if they stopped eating and started scrubbing toilets. Two, maybe even three.

So we might have 0.003 F35s. Instead, slave reparations with tater tots.

Comment FTA: They say a broken clock is right twice a day, so much for that theory.

No, a stopped clock is right twice a day. A clock where the hands have fallen off is never right.

The Tiger Double Dragon LCD game watch that was ruined when you wore it into the pool in 1990 two days after buying it and then traded to Craig for a Captain N comic book is not "right twice a day". It's broken.

That watch is Todd Akin.

He's running for the US Senate now.. he's got to get a majority of all Missourians to vote for him now.

About half the state lives in the St. Louis or Kansas City areas, and he's not going to get much support with them.
