Troopers found McCosby's body about 6:45 a.m. Thursday in his vehicle, which was parked in the Hell's Hollow lot, along Shaffer Road in Slippery Rock Township.

He really thought this through.

nice point. never really thought about that scripture in the Tebow context, but is seems particularly apt.

Why do people hate Tebow so much? Because he has a different world view than you?

So you demonstrate that by picking/choosing one Bible verse out of thousands?

Did Jesus say to pray publicly and make a show of it? Can't say I remember the bible perfectly so I may be wrong here...

Nope... that is the handy reminder...

FWIW, I don't read, nor follow, anyones tablets/scrolls/books/etc.

Another fine example is the dietary laws in Leviticus, which various Jeebus fans say don't apply anymore since it is the old testament.... but boy do they love the verses about homosexuality, same book, just a few verses away.

Most of my Christian friends don't like him because they think he sucks at football. Okay, he doesn't suck, it's just that his skills don't match the level of hype that surrounded him last year. And while these same Christians would vote for a corrupt baby-punching politician who claims to be a Christian and gives lip-service to Jesus, they have much higher standards for quarterbacks.

To them, using God to hype your mediocre football talent is akin to taking the Lord's Name in Vain. It doesn't matter how many Bible versus you plaster all over your face, you better throw the ball where it needs to go.

I can not think of a single situation to which this sentence does not apply.

So then, if you don't read the book, how do you exactly where to find the little things you're pointing out that you don't read?

/and fwiw, "just a few verses away" is not only still the same Testament, it's still the same chapter...

Matthew 6:5 deals quite a bit with motive. Praying and "giving glory" to God is good. The Pharisees would pray in public to show off just how spiritual they were. That is what Jesus was saying not to do. It's a fine line.

I just don't like Tebow because I'm a Denver fan.

It's because he's a fake Christian who uses religion to get himself over and to make money. He's a piece of trash person. How much money do you think he's donated to charity? Money's he has made exploiting religion for his own benefit? That's why I don't like him. I don't "hate" anyone, but I deeply dislike Tim Tebow. It has nothing to do with his world view, but everything to do with how he exploits it for his own monetary gain and fame.

I'm not a Tebow fan, but I'm curious as to how you got all this information about him and the true nature of his faith.

Actually if he is faking his whole religiousness that's freakin genius cause I can guarantee it's made him a ton of $$$.

If you read what I said it was the fact he used his religion for monetary gain (writing a book) without using the money to help others (donating to charity) like a true Christian would. That's just one reason, and that makes him a piece of trash person and a fake Christian.
