I'm pretty sure the parents in this thread would disagree with you. I know for a fact my brother would considering his (now 24 year old) daughter. Having LE deal with these guys prevents other, possibly worse crimes, namely those that would be committed by protective fathers. Well for those saying that there are no under 18 year olds on the net looking for sex with older men you would be wrong. There is a department where I work that deals with internet crimes and there is a considerable amount of underage people looking for sex with older people on the internet. Many of the cases it is not as much about the sex as it is about trading it for some other desire that an older person could provide. In other cases it is the attention they get from the older person and they feel they need to have sex with them in order to keep receiving the attention.

I do agree these people are stupid, because if this is your bag you should agree to meet up at some public place for any reason but sex and when you show up don't have any sexual items on you that way if it turns out to be law enforcement they can at least only get you with the text you sent them and not intending to have sexual contact. If it turns out to really be an underage child then have fun.
