According to TFA, dark energy is 70% of the stuff in the universe while dark matter is 80%.

Apparently we are optically lensing through other universes or something.

Eh, "dark energy" and "dark matter" are just a farce to plug the holes in Relativity's inherent inaccuracies

Scientist A - "What's this, Relativity doesn't account for what we observe on cosmic scales?"
Scientist B - "Well there must be some mysterious force and invisible matter that we can't detect that is causing it, so Relativity is correct after all!"
Me from the next office - "Or maybe your precious Relativity is just farking wrong. Ya ever consider that, eggheads?"

Relativity isn't "wrong". It's just not a complete explanation.

Classical mechanics explains an enormous amount of phenomena, and is an incredibly useful theory, but it breaks down under certain conditions which are explained better by quantum mechanics. That doesn't mean it's "wrong".

QED is the "right-est" theory we have ever come up with in the history of ever, but it's not complete either.

I know, and honestly I usually say the same thing when trying to explain my position to friends who usually don't know anything about physics except what they learned from Mass Effect, but sometimes it's fun to try to stir the pot a bit with more direct language. I don't think that Einstein was necessarily wrong, just that he didn't get it entirely right, in part because he abandoned Machian dynamics that actually are relative in favor of a mathematically easier concept that relies on comparing everything to the static background grid of spacetime, which isn't truly relative.
