Nice.

To be fair, he was probably going to lose anyway. This just pretty much guaranteed it.

Still, significant numbers of people who pay no income taxes and are supported on the state will vote for him, just like they did for McCain, totally oblivious to the fact that they are part of the segment of the population that he has open contempt for.

If the Republicans truly are against receiving more financial help than one puts in, why don't we start by not allowing any state to run in the red?

Going further, why don't GOP Congresscritters take a stand and give up their free government healthcare for life?

There are only 2 possibilities for Romney to make a comeback:

1) Crush Obama in the debates. This isn't very likely given how flustered he got in the primaries, and it's where Obama can really put Romney on the spot

2) A major geopolitical event ends with a negative outcome for America. This is the more likely of the two, but is bad for the country.

When you have to hope for more dead Americans for your team to win, you really need to take a closer look at yourself.

If you dive into the thread below, there are Romney supporters that admit to receiving government handouts. They all justify it by saying they're a special case and thus, deserve it.

Oh I don't believe that. The American public is fickle and has a very short memory. Romney has certainly failed to inspire a single person, sure, but the man has enough money to maybe hire people smart enough to paint him in a favorable light still. Sure it's unlikely, but these would be EXPENSIVE people and the man has the cash.

What's funny is that there are still Americans who believe that. I think you'll find out how many of that 47% agree with you soon. Being a clueless Republican doesn't make you smart. It makes you embarrassing to yourself and your loved ones.

Who exactly did Romney offend?

People who weren't going to vote for him anyway? First sentence FTA- "supporters of President Barack Obama".

He offended 47% of the country. That 47% includes people that are going to vote for him and undecided voters. So he probably won't lose the people that were going to vote for him in the first place, but he probably will lose a lot of undecided voters after he told them that they don't matter to him.

You forgot 3--Disenfranchise enough voters in swing states to allow you to steal the election, under the guise of "Voter fraud protection".

Basically Romney is on life support, but as long as his cash can keep it close, he will be there to take this thing if it falls of the truck. But he will need to beat Obama in the debates, and he will need to keep his yap shut about any geopolitical events. I doubt he can do that, because as long as he is silent and/or incompetent, the truly Independent Vote (Not "Fark Independents") won't turn out for him. At this point, this is Obama's election to lose, and not Romney's to win.

Let's not forget the classic teabagger nugget, "Keep the government out of my medicare."

Plus, for a supposed group of hard working overtaxed Real Americans (TM), they certainly had no problem getting free time to attend rallies at 11 AM on a Tuesday.

Exactly. America finally learned yesterday who the true Mitt Romney is. All caught on video.

He's made gaffes before while speaking publicly, but nothing drives it home like him talking to 30 rich buddies off the cuff.

Romney is not next. He has nothing at all going for him, aside from being born into wealth. He's demonstrated no skills at anything, and lies almost constantly.

Which Romney refuses to explain how he will fix.

So lets see, you think people will vote for a person who just insulted them and said he doesn't care about them, and refuses to explain what he will do to fix major issues affecting their lives? What does this say about you?
