According to his IMDB page, Mr Ingle did a lot of voice work too, in addition to his varied TV & movie roles (Robocop 2, Heathers, Death Becomes Her, etc.)

Most amazing part of his life? This "In 1954 he married Grace-Lynne Martin and they raised five daughters. His wife died in February." 58 years of marriage to one person is rare, but in Hollywood it's down right amazing!

Well, he's pretty much not replaceable in his TV role... I'm sure my wife will tell me how they wrap that up.

Farewell, old man Quartermain.

They more or less killed his character off last week. He gave up his dose of anti-serum to a doctor's dying daughter.

There were four actors who played Edward, with Jed Allen the only one left (when Ingle was either unavailable or the regime didn't want him back).

They just had his last scene on the show, very poignant and sweet although silent. Current folks probably knew he wasn't going to last.

He was devoted to his wife in the same fashion that Tom Cruise and John Travolta are devoted to theirs.

This man influenced and inspired every one of my classmates who took his drama class at Beverly Hills High School.
