Even if it could do all of those things it still wouldn't be worth it to wait in line when you can have it shipped to you by 9/21.

I don't know why, but people who point cameras at TVs really annoy me. At least use a tripod if you are going to be super lazy,

The same people stupid enough to sit outside a store for three days for a farking phone are stupid enough to believe that. Tune in for next week apple fanboy blog posts, "Whar holographic images? Wahr?".

I'm surprised they didn't run that video with the two animated bears talking about the iPhone 4.

LOLWut? Can we just lump news from a Fox station (affiliate or national) with articles from the National Inquirer?

Not all Apple users are iStuff drones. But the ones that are, are very annoying.

Yeah, the various concept videos out there were awesome (though this one bordered on ridiculous). Too bad they were all immensely more impressive than reality, which is rather pedestrian. It'll still sell like hotcakes, though. I consider Apple one of my vice stocks (I'm making money off of others delusion).

too bad Apple's magic box can never compete with my Phenom II 4 core Linux workstation, 28 inch wide screen monitor, and 150 watt rms subwoofer/home theater sound system.

and it didn't cost an arm and a leg too cause it built it myself.

Yeah, I don't get this wait in line mentality. When the iPhone 4 was announced I preordered it before I went into work (one for myself, one for my boss) and we received them a day before they went on sale in stores. I stopped by an Apple store where a friend was waiting in line for his and teased him with it.

Also, what the fark does having a 150 watt amplifier do with having a quality sound system? I've seen plenty of 10-15 watt sound systems that are knock-out amazing and if you're serious about home theater you're talking about 500-1000 watt RMS amplification minimum to handle transients correctly at theater-level SPL. Of course, raw amplification means essentially nothing in terms of the quality of a sound system.

no. my cheap 34 dollar/month cell phone does that and very well. i don't spend alot of time texting and chatting with my buddies all day long. i left high school some time ago. but you enjoy your high school years. high school/college is short, life is long. i find that adults who spend all their time texting and chatting don't have a life, cause if they did, they wouln't have the time or the desire to text and chat on the phone all the time.

true. Quality is better than quantity. my sound system suits my needs well. i wouldn't know what to do with a 1000 watt rms sound system. mine can rattle the walls but that's not why i use it.

But anyways, the fact that Fox News used a fictional video, only shows that if you were to show anything about an "i" product, some people will believe it.

This one pushes the margins of trolling as the technology is starting to emerge, but not close to being accessible, at least not yet.

Dood. Mount it on one of those two-shelf metal carts, shove a 427 hemi on the bottom shelf, add a posi-shift, and you're done.

It's a win-win.

meh, a real system would have it's own pit for an orchestra and the actors come in to re-enact the movies/TV shows.

In all fairness, on the Verizon network the iPhone 5 can't surf the web and take a phone call at the same time.

Well, considering that you and that other farker do nothing but whine about the butthurt over the anti-Apple stuff, you need to grow and learn that you're part of the problem.

Try saying something constructive and relevant to the thread instead.... a jest once in a while is fine, but posting about how offended you are that someone else doesn't have the cult-like love for a brand, well... speaks for itself.

So let's see, the link is about how Fox were dumbarses and used a made-up video, which shows a fake iPhone doing stuff that technology is not able to do just yet.

So how about comments about that instead, or even your opinion about the people that sit and wait over a week at the entrance of a store.... do you think that this is sane or not?

Depending on how complex it is, you may be able to do it yourself with the one-of-many application inventor tools that are available for Android (not sure about other platforms).

Failing that, you'll either have to hire someone or learn yourself.

I've been looking around and it appears there's several sites where you can hire an app developer. Not bad prices. My problem is the complexity of the app. I'll have to look more into this, perhaps I can get a grant or a loan and hire someone or a team to develop what I want.

So I try (the word is TRY) to not get hooked as much as I used to.
