Metasploit already has a module for it. I tried it out on my windows system, and it crashed IE and tried to run the code, but MSE detected the Metasploit shell code and shut it down.

Of course, good attackers would use their own shell code, so this probably won't make anyone safer.

Who uses IE Explorer? Your parents for one; the obnoxious boss in the HR department is another, and Dane Cook.

I hear the Internet can give you AIDS.

When your computer connects to another, it is connecting to every computer that other computer connected with.

I was on IE earlier today and Windows just shut down un expectantly. Wonder if it was because of this bug?

Could mean
1. something tried to take over and crashed instead of succeeding
2. something succeeded and needed the machine restarted to finish installing itself

Hector Remarkable: I hear the Internet can give you AIDS.

nonononono.. you have it the wrong way around, condoms/uncircumcisedweener is the leading cause of AIDS, the cure is to sacrifice/rape virgins. As the demographic of web user is 99% basement-dwelling virgin, the internet is as valid/reliable a cure for AIDS as one can hope for, in this area, at this time.

Headline and first paragraph? The whole thing looks generic enough that it could have been written years ago.

I once saw the headline:

Miners Died from Fumes

that one goes back to the Bronze Age!
