Ryan told Brody that instead of dictating a specific plan to Congress, a Ryan administration would join Congress to "work on the loopholes

"We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate." - Grover Norquist

Blame The Onion.

Romney isn't going to talk specifics, that would alienate some tiny faction, and he needs every last one of them to suspect he might be trustworthy. And if by some miracle he did win, he sure as hell wouldn't be in charge.

Nice!

Also: your blog sucks.

Also: Congress is a f*cking meat grinder, budgetary policy should never be created at the Congressional level. Ever. You draft budgetary policy, you then hand it off to Congress which edits the policy by sticking in a bunch of stuff that is needed and a bunch of stuff you never thought of plus a bunch of stuff that completely sucks and which almost inevitably includes a few pieces of tacked on crap that everyone in the world hates except for a small group of assholes paid off by some lobbyists.

"More" specifics? Doesn't that imply there were any to begin with?

Romney has also been recorded saying Obama supporters are freeloaders, don't pay income tax and feel entitled to get free food and government assistance. Of course, when you think middle income is equal to $200k, it's easy to get everything else wrong too.

Ryan told Brody that instead of dictating a specific plan to Congress, a Ryan administration would join Congress to "work on the loopholes that are enjoyed by the higher income earners, take away their tax shelters so more of their income is subject to taxation. That lowers everybody's tax rates."

Actually "Libs" aren't scared of it and would like to discuss it in detail, it is Romney/Ryan and the GOP who are afraid of it and avoiding discussing its details. The reason why is the same, the more the public hear the details of the Ryan budget the more they do not like it.

Isn't it a bit premature to be discussing anything that the "Ryan administration" might do? I mean, unless Ryan has plans for Romney that he has yet to share.

Hehe. Take the other half of the pill, and a deep breath. Jesus, I can see why people troll this site. Read what I quoted; mocking the Republicans for not having an actual discussion. I intended my comment to be an extension of that idea, ie Republicans criticizing democrats for criticizing a plan that doesn't even exist (but they insist is viable and good for the country).

That's a doubly odd position to take since the vast majority of government assistance goes to people making under 20k$ and over 150k$, and it's literally only the people in the middle-class income brackets that are getting taxed with no free shiat in return.

I mean, it's only called "welfare" on the low end, the high end it's "grants" and "subsidies" and taxing investment income at a different rate that's around a third of the normal because it's "capital gains", but it's the same stuff.

So no specifics yet just more talk about talking more about specifics?

Mitt won the GOP nomination by being as vague as possible and re-iterating RW talking points as often as possible and by outspending his opposition ridiculously.
