Should've let JJ Watt after him, bet he would've knocked his ass down twice as fast

HA!

Kind of shows how exciting the game was because typically they only spend 5 seconds on a runner before cutting away from them. Most of the time you don't even see them on TV.

The league should offer a bounty for any player that takes down a fan on the field.

Oh, wait...

It's sad how much of an attention whore that guy is, yet entertaining how little anyone cared.

Back in the day, Mike Curtis would have killed that assclown.

If these jackasses were ignored like this every time, noone would bother to run out on the field in the first place. All they want is the attention. This guy was clearly confused why nobody would chase after him...I kind of wish Lowery would have tackled him.

CSB:

A few years ago, I was at a Mariners game, and a guy ran onto the field, approached Ichiro, and gave him a hug.

Typically, security is fairly quick when it comes to getting those kinds of guys off the field, but on this occasion, they didn't have the typical reaction time.

I'm just glad it was some airhead to wanted a hug, and not a psycho with a knife.

Yup, the Dodgers won't show fan-runners at all, and Vin explains that they don't want to encourage anyone by giving them any kind of attention... kind of the same way they treat beach balls.

That's why American TV usually doesn't show these idiots.

/I'm surprised with "OMG terrorism" snipers don't just take these folks out

I was about to type something similar. The reaction is actually quite brilliant. Eventually, the fans will turn on the interrupters, and that's it.

To be fair, I can't remember the last time someone ran out that wasn't a drunk white person. I'm sure if an arab were to run out, it would make national news.

I have a couple old friends that played with the Saints.. Not big guys. I'm 5'11" and they are too.. I'm 165 and they're closer to 200. The difference is pure muscle and its scary how powerful they are. Once when I was drunk I invited one of them to "check me" and I was on my ass in about 1/10th of a second. Painful shiat. The amusing part was that he didn't even try.

It really surprises you that government snipers don't open fire on these people?

Yes it really surprises me. I most certainly was not making a poor attempt at gallows humor. No sir.

I'm shocked, after the Monica Seles incident, that security isn't tighter around these morons. Especially since booze is (almost always) involved:

Unless I stepped away, during the actual game they didn't show it. That was footage from a local station in Jacksonville.

Also amusing was the "Whoa whoa! I was just kidding, bro!" hand motions and facial expression when the guy saw he was being chased by a defensive back.

Would've been way better if he escaped the player, but it was a DB so no chance. Maybe if it was an OLineman but still probably not.

It looked like the security guys he was baiting in the end zone realized they were all too fat to catch him.

They should have just shot him or at least tazered him.

These days "security" is a job reserved for those least able to "secure" anything. Fat, old, out of shape, way too many females. They didn't chase because they couldn't catch him and didn't want to look stupid.

You pay for crap security; you get crap security.

2012-09-17 03:20:10 PM
I think by the security not doing anything it just made his efforts seem all the more silly. They should have just started up the gameplay and let the players run him over.

He was doing quite a bit of tippy toe running a well. I found it disturbing.

2012-09-17 03:28:04 PM
That was enjoyable, but Astros guy was way more awesome.

2012-09-17 03:32:00 PM
He literally went over to the security guards and asked them if they were going to chase him down and they still didn't try to go after him.

Also, his total yardage was well north of 200 yards. Probably twice what the Jaguars gained.

He was at the 20, ran all the way down the field through the end zone to within reach of the security personnel, who did nothing (80 yards + 20 if you count the end zone), all the way back to the other goal line approximately (100 yards + 20 if you count the end zone), then he ran back again, crossing mid-field and subdued about the 40 by Lowery (60 yards).

Grand total: 240.

2012-09-17 03:33:50 PM
the fan who went onto the field at the Navy v Notre Dame game in Dublin had a better outfit. Think oversized leprachaun green hat.

Once in a while someone does manage to escape. There was that one guy at Minute Maid Park who made with the Mirror's Edge re-enactment and made the crowd forget all about the Astros.

That's probably more Jacksonville football then the people of Jacksonville get to see all season.

m1ke: The best ones are the ones where the fan actually escapes. (pops)

We had a good one of these at a local highschool football game the other day. The streaker had nothing on but a spider man mask. He got across the field and hopped two fences and even had a get away car waiting for him. The best part was security trying to climb the fence after him. Unfortunately the guard got the cars plate so they tracked him down an arrested him. Hell probably get convicted of indecent exposure or something and have to register as a sex offender.

/its probably on youtube if you search for spiderman streaker.

Yes, that would have been one of the all time great escapes, but it was reported here in Houston he was arrested once he jumped out of view. However, that could just be a fabrication to discourage other fans from trying it. Either way, it was one of the few times I found myself rooting for the asshat that jumped on the field. We haven't had much to cheer for the last couple years, so that was one of our lone bright spots. Hell, I was at Minute Maid park yesterday to watch the Astros ruin the Phillies playoff hopes, and that place was a ghost town.

Normly they catch them fast and never show them, the only reason this guy is being shown is because no one did anything.
