Why not? Since Romney plans to implement the Mormon version of sharia law when he gets elected and ban alcohol, it seems like the only reasonable course of action.

Sort of stands to reason:

Higher brewery density implies more denser urban areas in the state. Urbanized areas tend to skew Democratic. More denser urban areas mean more Democratic votes. Obama has an advantage in areas that have higher brewery densities. QED.

Kansas has more breweries than Okla, and that's just sad.

FALSE. My TV stays on pretty much all day on Sundays, and my husband does none of the other aforementioned things. I have huge tits, and he loves them.

You don't say.

Using breweries per square mile strikes me as a bad scaling factor. Small densly populated states are going to rate higher, and generally go democratic, while the big sparsely populated states will go republican.

This chart would be more interesting if it was sorted by breweries per-capita. It may have not been done that way because the bias might not have been as clear.

This list doesn't quite work because a lot of "hipsters" smoke.

And #5 doesn't really work as well. If you would have said "The Bean" or "Ost Cafe", you'd be more accurate.

That's not really true. PBR is typically the cheapest beer at EV/Williamsburg bars, so people w/o a lot of money drink PBR. But full-on "craft beer bars" do not sell PBR and are popular with what are commonly known as "hipsters".

Came to say this.

Also, on the beer-snob front: some craft beers are great. Some are shiat. Some macrobrews are awful, and some (Coors Banquet and Yeungling come to mind) are fine and affordable for beer drinkers who actually drink beer regularly.

1. yes. 2. no. 3. no. 4. yes. 5. yes. 6. definitely yes. 7. all the time. 8. my coughing is genuine, thank you. 9. as someone for whom size is the least of my problems, I can assure you it doesn't matter. 10. there's no disgust. Big Macs are digusting.

I think it may be more a function of beer breweries being most likely union labor. And unions are an unthinking mass reliably in the tank for anybody with a D at the end of their name. That is why they accidentally voted for Reagan, RonalD.
