Is it die-cut, chromium-embossed, in a bag with a trading card (1 of 6)?

If not, then it could stand to be more awesome.

Farking comic book covers! How do they work?

Imagine all of the poor sad fanboys buying several copies of the same issue just because they have different covers, thinking that the more bloated their comic collection is, the more OOOs and AAHs they'll get from their fanboy bretheren.

It's actually Betty Ross-Banner. And Red Hulk is General Ross, her father. Both characters are supposed to be dead.

Jeph Loeb is to comic writing what Rob Liefield is to comic drawing.

Mr. Fixit ws pretty cool back in the day when all ther was was mindless green smashy-smashy Hulk.

I've never read anything with Red Hulk. Not even sure what it is.

Wasn't the Grey Hulk the original Hulk color in the mainstream continuity?

Knew about Gen. Ross from the Avengers, just didn't happen to read a comic with Red She Hulk yet. Betty Ross? The leftover from the Lois Lane era of romantic interests? Seems I wasn't even too far off with my Rick Jones suggestion...

Hulk writing seems more convoluted than Wolverine's right now. Differently colored hulks *and* she-hulks, that long-haired power metal son of him, and didn't they even separate Banner and Hulk recently?

/And by "they" I mean Victor von Doom

Yep, but the printing press had a lot of trouble, and in a lot of places he looked kind of greenish. Kirby liked it, and changed him to green.

Planet Hulk was so damn good, they've squandered it all. Planet Hulk proved that sometimes the best thing for a character is an exile; a story or setting where there is NO previous continuity, no previous side characters, etc. Hulk's cast of acquaintances is especially poor right now.

You say this as though death has ever been meaningful in comics.

A rebooted continuity which actually WAS continuous, where all the writers had a consistent over arching association which kept everyone on the same page with all character statuses, and death was permanent would be incredibly interesting.

Are you sure that's the uk version? I only ask as the BBFC's Rating for Avengers Assemble says

A slightly stronger moment occurs when a man is stabbed through the back by the chief villain's spear. The detail of the impact is not shown, only the tip of the spear protruding from the man's chest with a small amount of blood on it. The image is not dwelt upon and serves an important narrative purpose. The BBFC's Guidelines at '12A'/'12' state 'Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context'.

Not yet, but he will be alive soon. Right after he cock punches death, crawls through the metaphysical zone, rapes Uncle Ben, and crawls out of the hole Nick Fury put him in. Then he will rip Nick Furies still beating heart from his chest, eat it, and become the new director of Shield.

Nothing wrong with the occasional variant, not at all. But there get to be a point, like the 90's, when it really starts to hurt comicdom.

Totally agreed, disclaimer: I'm more of a Dark Horse: Star Wars fan and they typically stick to a guest artist or a single variant by the main. Only Marvel I've bought lately was the Halo stuff which had no varients that I'm aware of.

know what I really hate? Valiant comics are back, and the books are great all around. And the valiant guys are doing that 90's bullshiat - multiple variants, pullbox exclusive variants, retailer exclusive variants, talking covers and it is driving me farking crazy because it is like they learned nothing from the 90's failures.

at least the actual books are good.
