My favorite TH cover:

BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE. W/Tom Jones and The Cardigans.

Sadly the official version seems to be gone, for some reason. This one's totally out of sync, but it's the best I could find.

I've submitted this before and I'm glad it's been posted. It's one of the best concerts I've seen on YouTube. The Great Curve just is stellar. This DVD is available on amazon too (or at least it was when I got it)

What's it like to be that ignorant? Does it hurt? Show me on the doll where the 80's music touched you...

Talking Heads. Good. Talking Heads with Adrian Belew? Orgasmically good.

Meh. Bryne has always seemed over-rated to me; it's like his reach exceeded his grasp.

Tina Weymouth, though? Hubba-hubba!

Loves me some Tom-Tom Club.

BTW I have an opened/never played copy of 'Stop Making Sense' on vinyl I would be glad to sell.

If we wanted to hear from the children, we would have let you sit at the adults table. You've shown why we don't allow that.

*whaps you with a newspaper*

Now get back there with the other children.

Cooper420: I really like Crosseyed and Painless

This version of Crosseyed and Painless is one of my favorite things to ever happen ever. Everything about ti is awesome. Anyone else love the interaction between Tina Weymouth and Adrian Belew? I remember reading somewhere that Weymouth approached him about replacing Byrne. If it'd happened after Speaking in Tongues I would have loved to have heard that.

Outstanding, Subby, thanks. By way of self indulgent non sequitur, I've always had a thing for female bass players. I wonder if this is where it started.

Wow! This is fantastic!

i love this concert. Especially "born under punches" and "crosseyed and painless".

/I don't get the Chris Frantz hate.... sure he wasn't the greatest drummer in the world, he was average, but he fit the talking heads 'sound' very well!
He's like the Nick Mason of new wave.

Let's say one wanted to download this, but (hypothetically) found that Keep-Tube was no longer working ...

Dang it's just I Zimbra not Big Business -> I Zimbra. Those two songs just flow into each other perfectly.

Tina and the bassist from Silversun Pickups do something for me too. On the Lazy Eye video she seems so mysterious. As for Tina, there is a bit on the linked video about 10 minutes in where they show her from behind wiggling her bum, cute as hell.

Just like Talking Heads themselves.

Any decent band with chops wouldn't need a full "Afro-Funk Orchestra" to go over.

^^^ yes.

/never knew TH had a female in the group until now, always pictured max headroom on vocals.
//just watched the lazy eye video, would like to see the bassist performing in the outfit from my cousin vinny.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Any 4-piece could have totally pulled off the material they were doing in the studio with Eno at that time. Piece of cake.

I've actually watched this before. I'm a huge Adrian Belew fan (and TH and Crim). Adrian is from Cincinnati (OK, Erlanger KY which is 5 miles from downtown Cincinnati) and I actually helped a friend get a fake ID back in the day so we could go see Adrian Belew and Gaga at Shipley's in Clifton for $2.00. We sat down with him after the gig and talked about Bowie and Zappa and Adrian is amazingly gracious, witty, and a very friendly guy.

Well, if they are teh most awesomest band evar, yeah.

Good band, but very overrated. Good covers them just fine.

I read somewhere that much of "remain in light" is essentially meticulously edited-and-spliced loops.
